To all my very creative and talented blogger buddys! I need your ideas.. A dear friend of mine has breast cancer and just had a masectomy. ( she is doing awesome by the way!) We are throwing her a PINK party. I'm looking for ideas.. pink foods, pink games.. "boobie"prizes, invitation ideas.. we are all going to dress in pink, some of us I'm sure a bit over the top! I would love to dye my hair pink for the occasion.. but I wont, I wouldnt want to have to be stuck with it!! (I do have to admit though, I've always wanted to have pink hair! These are some crazy girls, that like to have a good time.. so almost anything goes.. I'd appreciate and look forward to any ideas you all have!
thanks girlies!

  1. Good morning~
I saw your post so I wanted to reply - as one thing popped into my mind right away. Fresh Strawberry Cupcakes! They turn out to be such pretty pink color! To see them on my blog go here http://farmchickskitchen.blogspot.com/2008/02/fresh-strawberry-cupcakescoming-right.html I will keep thinking but for now that is it! What a nice idea to throw your friend a pink party! Sounds fun! Oh, by the way I added my award info to the bottom of my last post! Hugs~ Tania

  2. Bully for her and all her friends. With your support she'll do fine. Do you remember snowballs? They are round on top and I believe covered with white coconut. Those would make the cutest boob cakes. Or you could bake cake in round bowls and make you own boobs.
Pink hair.........I know Sally's has colored hair sprays that wash out with time.
Invites: A pink affair. Offer a challenge for the best pink look. Ofcourse the friend going through the rough time will have to be the winner. A massage would be grand. And offer a boobie prize to each of your guest. Coconut bra. Eggshell bra. Have a wonderful time and take lots of pics.
My darlin niece is going through chemo and rad. for brain cancer. We told her we would shave our heads when she looses her hair. Now I would settle for pink hair! Funny what people will do to support ones they love. Sorry for the letter! Hugs, Terri

  3. Hi Viv- How nice! When my hair person had a party, she was able to find really cheap (like $10) cute wigs in pink and other colors. You could check.

By the way, I have my pinkeep done and am mailing tomorrow. I sent Jillian an email.

    Thanks,
    Gina

  4. Hi Aunt Vivie! You could make Rosa Marina salad and add the maraschino cherry juice to the cool whip mix to make it pink. Mom's done that before and it turns out really nice. If you don't have the recipe, just give Mom a call in Albion and she can give it to you! (Or Krissie might have it ...) I hope the party goes fabulously! I'll be home this weekend and try to make it to Lyndonville to visit!

    Love you!
