Jacob finally made his arrival into the world at about 8:26 this am. We made the decision to come home from the hospital at about 11:00 last night to get a few hours of sleep and then Tony called us a little after 4:00 this morning and told us her water broke. So away we went! The hospital is an hour away. and when we got there she was dilated 6 1/2 cm's! He is sooo precious. Vanessa labored almost absolutely silently...
Im so proud of her. And of Tony too, as he is taking such good care of her and he is just such a good person.
JAcob has a long road ahead of him, but the doctors all think he is off to a "pretty good start". The words they used today were "cautiously optimistic".
They are going to try to keep him stable for the next couple days and then do his surgery on monday or tuesday. That is going to be difficult for all us to take.. but it is necessary. They said that the most critical time for Jacob is from now until about 3 days after his surgery. So yes, please, keep praying for him.
It is very hard to see him hooked up to so many things, but at the same time I feel so thankful for medical technology And of course to GOD!
I love this little baby pie so much already.
Thank you all for you Prayers. I hope you know how important they are and how much they mean to all of us.
Jacobs situation is exactly as they said it was, except for his heart. The surgeon had talked about three different things involving his tiny little heart, but today she said only talked about this "double outlet right ventricle" which is a large hole in his heart.
I cant wait to go up and see him again.... tomorrow!
but for now.. I am exhausted.. mentally and I need to veg out for a while..
good night and
