so there you have it ... what a fun swap this was.. I love seeing what everyone made and I  love them all.   so much creativity out there in blog land!  Hope you enjoyed seeing them all!

finally... my halloween giveaway!

OK.. I finally finished my giveaway pieces!  Geesh.. Ive only been talking about it for a month.. maybe longer! .  I made these little acorns when i got up at 5:00 this morning and finished up the candy corn girl.  They are now ready to go to a new home... where ever that will be!

playing in the dark!

here I am again!  twice on the same day.. not the usual for me...

but I am halloween obsessed!  that is better then halloween possessed... eww.. I dont even like that word.

do you think I need meds?  lol!  I lit everything up, turned out the lights and grabbed the camera.

 

I put little battery operated votives in all the little candy holders on my trees...  Love the effect!  I also took the top part of a big hurricane lamp off, cut the bottom out or a trick or treat pumpkin and threw it on the lamp!  Love it!    I know..  probably nuts... but I'm having fun!  I told you I keep myself amused.  I dont really read and I hardly watch tv.. I just play....

  

I think buffy is amused.. Im paying a little extra attention to her trying to teach her to say "trick or treat!"

OK.. gotta go box up a couple things for the mail!

Its off to work I go!

 

 I havent been outside yet, but it sounds sort of blustery .  oh well, if its going to be windy and rainy it makes it easier to go to work. (not really..)   I just know I was supposed to be a rich princess... but I got switched at birth. And as a result... I must go to work everyday!  (phooey!)

well you know me, I have to decorate anything that holds still long enough for me to put something on it!  and that includes my office at work.  I figure I have to be there a third of my life so I should make it as comfy as possible!  so I decorate a little bit for each holiday. 

I dont go overboard like I do at home, but I do have to stop myself from doing anymore then I already have.  Its probably just enough right now... though I am thinking about bringing in a pumpkin!

what harm could a little pumpkin do?

Check out my bulletin board my hubby made for me!  isnt it awesome?  I know.. its a little bare. I have some pics I want to print out for it.  maybe sometime this week.

a tiny lalaloopsy sits atop my computer monitor.  I really need to buy one for every season or holiday!  isnt she cute!  I wonder if they have a thanksgiving one! lol... I know they have christmas ones..  but they should make a little pilgram or indian girl!

This wonderful pinkeep was a birthday present from my dear friend Brenda.  I just love it and decided to keep it at work for the fall as I can look at it  and admire it everyday rather then bring it home and stick it somewhere where I will  not see it enough!

so thats it for now girls, Unfortunetly I am NOT a rich princess and I really do need to get ready for work. Plus Buffy the bird is in the living room going... "OHHHH VIIIVVVIIANNNN" , "goodmorning bird", 'buffys a bird"  and "hello buffy..."  all that plus some little songs she is whistling... she wants my attention.  Now she just said  "what! what! what! what!"

I guess I should go feed her and make her her morning peanut butter toast!

Saturday at nataleas!

yesterday I spent the day with Natalea and scarlet, crafting, chitchatting and of course eating!

I have to tell you, undecorated Nataleas house is awesome.. but decorated for halloween... its in its glory!  the most awesomely decorated holiday at nats... halloween and Valentines day are her favorite holidays to decorate for.  but especially halloween.  I took over 40 pics.. and paired it WAY down to this 20 or so.  But believe me when I say there is SOOO much more and there pics dont begin to do it justice. 

umm   A little side note to Sandy Camarda...  uhhh.. I think you should send me one of everything youve ever sent to natalea!  omg..   Half of the things I LOVED, were made or sent by Sandy!

We had a fun afternoon.  And little miss scarlet is a budding artist to say the least.. this 6 or 7 year old has 3 art journals of her own! (I dont even have 1!!)  I had some left over spider bodies from last weekend, so Nat and I each painted one up.  they turned out so cute.

Nat made us a yummy lunch of cut up veggies (veggies are always so much better when someone else cuts them up and serves them to you dont you think?)  and turkey sandwhiches.    we gabbed and crafted and looked forward to a nice dinner out.

we ended up in somewhere in buffalo, in this wonderful little restaurant, that you couldnt have imagined was in that spot.  And the food was awesome.  We walked out back behind the restaurant afterwords, as nat knew they seat people out there in the summer and she wanted to check it out.  but what we found was a "secret" party going on in a back room! Which we basically got invited too! LOL.. some guy said "parties back here, come on in!"    we probably should have!

Anyways, I'm always happy to see natalea and hear her stories about her friends and family!  I do need to say that she leads a very interesting and diverse life!  very different from mine! LOL!  If I had some energy, I might be inclined to trade places with her for a week!

so anyways, it was a lovely day and we had a great time.   these are the spiders we made below.

 I do have to say that towards the end of our meal I started to get a killer headache that by the time I got home I had to go to bed!  so I slept from 10:00 til about 6:45 this morning.  Thats a lot of sleep for me!

but I feel better this morning.  sorting laundry, getting some groceries and baking a turkey breast... thats my plans for today!
