rain rain..rain

its raining, its pouring the old man is snoring....   but thats ok right, because April showers bring May flowers!  I sure hope so.  It seems spring was so slow to get here and she still is dragging her feet.  but I did notice yesterday coming home from work that sweet pale green lacy-ness to the budding trees on the sides of the roads and the fresh new greening of the grass in some areas too.    its coming.. eventually.  its just a cold spring, thats all...  it's going to warm up eventually. we've been hovering between 40 and 55 for weeks it seems.  

Just checked our 10 day forcast and its staying in the 50's for the next 8 days then the 9th and 10th days they're calling for 61!  with lots of rainy days mixed in there.  woohoo.. (thats a sarcastic woohoo... )   lol!   well looking on the bright side, its not snow and its above freezing and I dont mind driving in it! plus the rain washes and refreshes the earth....   Im trying to be positive here.

 Well, enough about the weather...   In other news.. Easter is put away and the house has been springified.   birdies and nests, green plants and some flowers.  I need to paint somethings around here and do some more sprucing up, but otherwise this is it for a few weeks!  I'll be ready to switch over to patriotic decorating in mid june!  

Like this little bunny above?  I made her for a little swap with a friend.  not sure her picture does her justice, she is really really cute.   I want to make her a little sign that says happy spring or something.. but she needs to go in the mail this morning and you see where I am right now.. I may not get to the little sign! lol!

I am thinking about hosting a patriotic wreath challenge... anyone interested?  I need to make a wreath for myself and thought maybe some of you might need some  inspiration to do one for yourselves too.

hello out there!!

 Here I am.. did ya miss me this week?  Im on cup of tea number 3 for this morning.  up since 4:30.. I know, how crazy is that.  woke up and just could not lie there any longer.  plus I woke up stiff and with a headache that still hasnt completely gone away.  And its taken me all of 3 hours to get unstiff! LOL!  yikes.. I think I'm getting old!  Ive got to do something about that...

Ive been so busy the last two weeks....  and today is the first day that I'll have had to myself in over a week.  not complaining.. Love my time with my family... but need my time alone too.   I have to admit I do get a little overwhelmed sometimes. ( I think that means I m getting old too....   !)

 Yesterday I started packing easter away.  See how Frannie helped?  she loves to climb into boxes and baskets.. well, I guess all cats do.  
I packed 4 bins full, I really do have some sort of obsession or ocd problem dont I?  lol.. oh yeah, my cousin calls it hyperdecoraphilia..  lol!   sometimes its not so funny though! 

 I had kept Marlaina over night on friday night and then bethany and torry came to see her yesterday morning.  then tiffany came .. and Robert was around working on a truck.. tiff and Marla stayed the day and for dinner.  Eventually Tony and violet showed up.  so I didnt get a whole lot done yesterday.  my house is a disaster!  so in a minute Im going to take a small overdose of tylenol  and then Im going to throw myself into cleaning up and redecorating the house for spring..  then I think I might go do a little shopping. 

I finally went to the dr this week for my messed up leg.  probably havent mentioned it here, but my leg (sort of behind my knee) has been bothering me for a couple months.  seemed to be gettting worse and was driving me insane this past week, so I finally went.  do you want to hear the story?  It'll take me forever to type it out.. but its sort of funny and creepy!  lol!

so.. my dr, who Ive had for 25 years.. is pretty lame.  hes about 70 and from india. Ive developed this thing where I do not want him to touch me.  I know, weird.   oh.. first let me tell you.. he thinks my name is Naomi.  always has called me that.  he must see my file says Neroni, Vivian and he just thinks it says Naomi.. or good grief, he has an accent, maybe all these years Ive just thought he was calling me Naomi.. maybe hes really calling me Neroni.  in any case, when ever I see him he is always happy to see me, always takes my hand in his and says, "Naomi, good to see you!"   I told him I was only there for my leg, but he needs to go through the whole routine, nose throat, ears.. blood pressure.. heart.. and I always end up with him pressing on my fat belly and feeling up the girls for a breast exam... which I freak'n hate!  grosses me out.  so of course he wants me to put a gown on so he can look at my legs....  you know those god awful paper pieces of crap that dont even fit around you unless youre a tooth pick which I am not.   So then he is behind me for the most part, and arguing with me that its sciatica.. which.. I know that it is not.  but its a weird pain that I can not explain.  however I also know that it is not the bone or the joint..  but in the end he wants to send me for an xray because he says that I have confused him.  that was after he was behind me for 15 minutes, probably checking out my fat butt ..  oy vey.. gives me the heebie jeebies!  lol!    

sooo, he wants to send me off with a slip for blood work and an xray and says to go ahead and get dressed and come out.    which I do.. but when I go to open the door, he is coming back in and says..  "go back in, I forgot to do something".   I say whats that?  he says... no lie, girls.. I swear to god, he says, "RECTAL EXAM"!   I said.. " uh uh, no freakn way..  we are not doing that.  Im out of here."  grabbed my slips and go.   wth was that?  are you kidding me?  LOL!!  

so at first I found the whole thing just funny and bizare, but now Im sort of disgusted by it.  how unprofessional.  and, Im not going back there.    He sees mostly old people there.. I dont know how I ever started going there anyways.  I think it was about 28 years ago.. soon after we moved out here.   he wont miss me...  besides, he doesnt even know my name! lol!

so that was my crazy dr story.

and now.. I guess I better get busy before the day gets away from me.

favorite easter pics

wow! the weekend was crazy!  busy!  and Im a bit egg-zausted!  lol!

We had a great easter weekend.  I took a bunch of pictures but its so hard to pic just a few favorites to post.  This one of violet above is one of my most favorites..  isnt she stinking awesome???

They all are.   I am blessed with such awesome little people in my life.  And they were all so good this weekend.  I just want to smoosh them all...  Little marla princess pie is stinking funny as heck!  she says the funniest things.  she couldnt peddle the little bike so she basically stradle walked it around saying "I ride'n my bike!"

And Torry..  what a trip he is.  There is a rule, I was not aware of, and that is no picture taking when he's riding his bike!

Tiffany and I pushed Marla around for a bit, but she really was quite happy to walk it like I said before.  lol!

easter eve day

cookie anyone?  

how could we possibly have egg decorating day with out some easter cutout cookies?    yummy yummy in my tummy!

we have a busy day ahead!  I'll be heading out about 8:45 this morning for Torrys first soccor game!  should be very interesting.  I wish i had a better camera. mine takes lousy pictures of anything that moves!  but I'll be trying to snap a few anyways.  

After the game, I'm taking Jen, princess Ella, beth, Torry pie, tiff and marla princess pie all out to an easter egg hunt that a girl I work with puts on. Its kind of cool out there this morning, but the kids wont care.   After that we will all head back here to meet up with Vanessa and Violet pie (whose getting her little ears pierced this morning!) to dye easter eggs at my house and to have pizza.  

The bunny puppets I ordered came this week and Ive already filled the babies baskets this morning and put them away for tomorrow.  I also filled a bunch of easter eggs to do our own little easter egg hunt here in the morning.  I have about 14 more to do, but I want to get some change to put in the rest .  I really do need to pick up a couple little things so I'll have to squeeze that in somewhere along the line today.. or tonight.  I guess it'll have to be tonight. I can probably run to the mall later.  I sort of wanted to go to the movies to see Heaven is real.. but that probably wont happen this weekend....  lol!

so thats about that for today.  By tomorrow afternoon I should be exhausted.  but its all good!

Good Friday

It is Good Friday, the day Christ was nailed to the cross. I hope we're all thinking about that today. I know the movie or broadway show of Jesus Christ Superstar isnt exactly totally biblical, but Ive always loved it . And regardless, its thought provoking. Easter isnt all about bunnies and chicks, though some of you might think that I think so.. but I do know better. I'll be thinking about Jesus on the cross today and I will be grateful that died to save us from our own selves and that he rose again three days later. enjoy this performance and remember what today is about. xoxo
