ahhhhhh... friday! but i'm on call.....

A little after work treat! I went in the store to get some steaks and saw these little pecan tarts.. and they saw me too! then they said "we want to go to her house!!" and they jumped right into my cart! now me, being a nice person and all.. how could i let those nice little tartlets down? so I gave in and let them come home with me. Then, once we got here.. we had a little tea party.. just the little tartlets and I... we had such a lovely time!

Oh well.. yay! its friday.. but .. I am on call this weekend through next friday. so everyone pray and keep your fingers crossed for a very managable weekend. After all its mothers day weekend. Not only that, but theres a doll show in rochester tomorrow. I've been telling myself all week that I was going to skip it, but now I'm thinking I need to go. I want to find a cute little vintage doll dress for a sock monkey to wear. Im feeling the need to make another one!

Other then that I really have no plans.. I try not to plan anything for when I'm on call.

We're cooking steaks and these veggies on the grill tonight. I ordered a veggie grilling basket from pampered chef and just got it.. so we're going to try it out , the problem is , I cut up at least twice as much as what is going to fit in the basket! Doesnt it look good.. mushroom caps, grape tomatos, zuchinni, yellow squash, onions, and orange and red peppers. Here they are soaking in red pepper italian dressing! yummy!

I'll be finishing up a project tonight and will be sure to show you pictures tomorrow! You saw the start of the first part last post.. that part is finished.. but now theres a little surprise that goes with it. in fact I cant wait to get it done!

And, lastly for now.. look at this poor old baby boy! I think his tumor is growing back on his tongue.. This drooling is awful! He doesnt seem to be uncomfortable or in any pain.. just very wet! He is such a sweetie.. I feel so bad for him. he is supposed to be taking prednisone.. but I cant get it in him. darn cat!!!

I stayed home today. I had a horrible headache and was nausous. and I hadnt slept well last night as a result. feeling much better now that the headache is gone. needless to say, I didnt do much today... worked on a needle punching project and sat on the porch for a while.. really thats about it.. oh.. and looked at some magazines.

and, tried to take a picture of the amish when they went by the house.. (shhh.. they dont like their pictures taken!) ehh.. but not to worry.. this is all I got!

I'm such a great photographer!! Not!

I need to go make dinner and take some more tylenol.. making tuna noodle casserole. yummy!

Pooped out...............

I am exhausted! It seems like its been a long week and today is only tuesday. Im fact, I'm so tired .. Im not sure what the heck I'm even doing here right now!

I guess I wanted to show you this new pinkeep I made .. not sure what I'm doing with it yet. It might be a swap piece for a swap I'm in or not.. I might make something else!

I'm seriously considering starting up my etsy soon.. I keep saying i'm going to.. but I seem to give everything I make away in swaps or as gifts! Then there are the pieces that I just cant part with! Like this other little birdie from my last post..

well, I thought I had stuff I was going to talk about.. but Im too tired now and i need to go find marmalade and lay on the couch! Hopefully I'll be a little more energetic and do a better post tomorrow!

good morning blogland!

Didnt do much creating or crafting this week.. just this little birdie that I made the other night. I do have some projects rolling around in my head though. A couple swap things and some mothers day ideas. but I need to clean my house before I do any creating today!


Yesterday was a busy saturday. the girls and I went to lunch , then shopped all day, We all got some cute things! Then Jennifer and I met up with two of her friends for dinner at the anchor bar in buffalo and then went to see Mandy patinkin and Patty lupone in concert. It was a great show. A little different then going to musical theatre , but I enjoyed it. Mandy patinkin has an amazing voice, and so does patti lupone, But I like mandy much better. He was also quite funny. Anyways it was a long day!


I think today I'm staying home and working around the house, I have some raking and yard work to do.. and I need to clean the bathroom and run the vacuum in the house. I also have to make something to send my mother for mothers day, or go shopping.. and I just dont want to go shopping again today!


I'm thinking either chicken fajetas or BBQ chicken on the grill for dinner.. both sound good.


Well, I need to get doing something constructive here.. so ta ta for now!

We interupt this blog to bring you a little picture tutorial : How to paint your cat into a melted blob!

step one, place cat over husbands shoulders...

Step two, find a nice scruffy old paint brush..

step three, begin painting the kittys ears, head and face with the brush.

step four, dont for get his chiny chin chin!

step five, continue til the kitty has begun to drool and has melted enough that he may slide off the husbands shoulder!
