Just look at this freaken ADORABLE little christmas dolly! made by the fabulous Cindy of thimbleprimstudios . She is going to give her away! I really dont want to share this info with you.. as you will all go running over there to add a comment so you have a chance to win.. and that will lessen my chances to win.. but.. She really is too cute to keep a secret.. so go on now.. all of you.. go add a comment on Cindys blog and tell her how stinking cute she is.. ok.. go on now.. just hurry up and go! hugs
Oh what fun! needle felted acorns! I have little wire loops sticking out of them so they can be worn some how.. by someone.. most likely by a bear. We saw these at the country living show, and I just thought they were the most amazing little things.
Been busy this weekend; made a monster, a halloween raggedy.. (for a swap, cant show her yet!) and these little acorns.. today I went shopping and to a babyshower this afternoon. I was supposed to go to a pampered chef party this afternoon too.. but I cant do it all! (and I can afford any pampered chef stuff right now anyways!)___________________________________________________
Have you ever typed something to someone and hit send.. and then instantly thought.. maybe I shouldnt have...?? did that tonight. nothing bad.. or mean.. or anything like that.. just an opinion that might have been unwanted. and now.. i'm waiting for a reply with my fingers crossed that that person still LOVES me!! ___________________________________________________
Can you believe that sept is about over? My halloween swappers should be heading to the finish line this next week. I cant wait to see what everyone made! I'll be posting all their pictures before halloween.. just wait to see what they all made! Im excited!
I had to add these lines, because I couldnt get blogger to leave a space between my little paragraphs.. I had to keep coming back and editing the lines shorter and shorter.. and now I've just realized that the clock is wrong! I'm writing this at like 9:30- 9:50 pm.. and it says like 6:33 am.. thats crazy... never noticed that before!
Look at these little naughty monsters! I just cant disipline them well.. I say to them! "OH no! you naughty kittens... get off that counter and out of the oatmeal now.. come here you sweet little cutie pies.. (kiss kiss hug hug..) OMG youre just the cutest freaken little things? aww.. you want some oatmeal too? ok.. I'll give you some when its done! " but I have to say, they didnt want any once it was cooked!
Yippee its the weekend! Todays agenda? pUmpkin hunting.. monster making ... cooking a turkey breast and butternut squash.. and some needle felting! who knows what else! toodles for now!
What a weekend! first of all, we all three left friday am on approx 3 hours of sleep each. But we were excited and ready to have fun. We left my house at 5:00 am Nataleas at 6:30 and arrived at the country living fair at noonish! We got a perfect parking spot and spent the next five hours in heaven! This show is not your average craft show. EVery thing there is high quality, we wanted to look at everything, and I'm pretty sure we didnt miss a thing! My favorite spot was the earth angels tent. OMG.. I felt like an over whelmed fat kid in a candy store or bakery!
Beautiful awesome artwork in that tent. I wanted one of everything! I was mostly drawn to Jody battaglia, letty woorley, Nicole bowen, pat murphy, and valerie weberpal's work, But didnt buy anything at that time. I knew I wanted to get through all the booths and come back the next day with a plan! It twas also very neat to meet some of the artists! We felt like we were meeting celebrities!
The next thing we did was find Kecia of Lemoncholys. I was excited to get to meet her! Kecia had a great booth full of her fun artwork. she makes great jewelry and art dolls. I screwed up though and didnt take any pictures of her booth! DUH!! She had painted a large old doll green and dressed her like a witch for a display piece. Lots of people were commenting on her. I so wish I had pics to show you of her. I was able to help Kecia out and watch her booth for her several times during the weekend, so that she could get a quick break. Kecias personality is just like her art work; fun and funky!
We wandered the rest of the show and then met up with Kecia and her friends for dinner at a great restaurant. Elizabeth from Creative Breathing also met up with us there. I was so happy to meet these two girls who I've been talking to here in blogger land for quite a while. Kecia and I had been planning on doing a swap together and had decided this would be the perfect time to do it, and Elizabeth and I were partners in my pinkeep swap so we also exchanged at this time too. Doing your swaps in person is fun!
Elizabeth is the sweetest soul ever! she has a soft sweet voice and a personality to match. I was soo happy to be able to meet her in person. If you havent checked out her or kecias blogs be sure to do so!!
We did our swaps at the restaurant that evening and I love what the girls made for me. i hope they loved what I made for them as well!
Kecia made me the sweetest little art doll on a wonderful old bottle full of marbles. She has music wrapped around her neck and little tiny fairy wings as well. she is perfect and is now residing on the shelf above my work table where I can keep an eye on her and her on me! I love her, thank you so much Kecia! Oh, and check out the lion on the key she is wearing..
Isnt this just an awesome little artdoll? I feel so lucky to have her! thank you again Kecia!
I made Kecia the little halloween bear sitting on the round box. You saw him back a posts ago.
Elizabeth was in my halloween pinkeep swap, so I made her a black cat kitty pinkeep, also shown a few posts back. I also made her a little gourd man and skeleton girl. And she made me the sweetest things. Really her spirit and personality shines through in her work... as does Kecias!
Check out the vintage crepe paper and little card..
now look at this sweet little pinkeep halloween crow sitting on a jar of buttons! and look at all those awesome little purple flowers! LOVE this!
And did you notice this heart? Elizabeth makes these special hearts for people. I feel so honored to have one.. look at the tiny bear and little bluebirds.. beautiful! thank you Elizabeth!
And look at these precious little snowman jars! "I is spoiled I tell ya!"
Dont ya just love it all? Kecias sweet and funkiness and Elizabeths total cuteness! I couldnt have been happier and Love my gifts! thank you so much to both of you!
Well, you will be surprised to know that I really didnt buy too much! I bought the punch needle kit above.. and this Wonderful little Jody Battaglia bear below! I love this sweet little creation!
I also bought this great necklace from Kecia. The little charm I got somewhere else.. cute huh?
I bought this old mirror dresser set for my daughter for her birthday. She loved it. I ended up running to a place in the city on sunday and finding a mirrored tray to go with it.
I did pick up a few other little things and some art supplies, but thats it!
We had a great time.. so much talking and laughing that we got sore throats! Poor Nataleas dad had been sick and was not doing well and he passed away on Friday night. so that put a little damper on things. but we dealt with it and carried on. NAtaleas a trooper. Im so glad we got to spend the weekend together. She did get a speeding ticket on the way down.. two hours into the trip. Geeky trooper.. I tried to be friendly and talked to him, hoping that he would let her off.. but he didnt.. We did learn that his birthday is october 4th though! Coming home we stopped for some redbull to keep our driver awake and we told some interesting stories about our pasts! SECRETS!! such fun.. then we got back to nataleas and my husband was supposed to pick us up at 11:00.. didnt get there until after 12:30, because he fell asleep on the couch!!!!! We were so tired and you know when your tired how you can laugh.. omg.. did we laugh.. I was snorting!!!
anyways.. we had a great time.. I'm already hoping to go again next year! (looks like I'm mauling the girls in these two pics!) I just love them both!
Are you still with me?? I need to show you some things that Ive recieved in the mail lately! LOOK AT THIS!!! this is my shadow box from Lori Karla. She was my shadow box partner. Love it love it love it! thank you Lori!
This is a sweet little piece from Sandy Camarda, a hostess giftie for hosting an ornament swap that we are doing! I love my little doll Sandy! thank you!
And this sweet sweet little bear, hanky and teacup and saucer was a sweet surprise from Suze.. OMG! just look at how cute he is! thank you so much Suze! She sent him for really no reason other then that she thought that I would appreciate him. I am his new caretaker.. Shes had him forever! I dont know how
she could part with such a sweet little thing! thank you !!
Then there's this sweet package recieved from my good friend Cindy owens.. These are the things she sent me with her pinkeep as she was one of my pinkeep partners! I love it all!! and just look at the awesome little halloween pinkeep! Thank you SOO MUCH Cindy!
thats all girls.. Now.. I have to get caught up on all of your blogs!
OMG!!! I'm home.. I'm tired beyond words... I have a very very sore throat from talking and laughing... And really laughing ..like last night I really thought I might hyperventilate from laughing... stories to tell.. but I think I need to make an outline first! Its my daughters 28th birthday.. I dont even really like to tell you that.. cause then you will remember that I'm not so young! went to bed after 3:00.. kittens kept me awake til after 4:00.. got up before 8:00! Now I have to go get stuff for my daughters birthday .. I'm dying to put up my halloween stuff after being at Nataleas.. so much to do today.. not so sure what will actually get done.. and so much to tell you about the weekend and to show you... but.. you will have to wait... I dont like anyone to nap.. but I may actually have to do a tiny nap this afternoon.. maybe on the porch swing this afternoon!! I want pumpkins.. not ready for them yet though! have a sweet and sunny day! I'll be back!
Natalea from Kandeland and my dear friend Brenda and I are leaving at 5:00 am tomorrow morning to head to Ohio for the weekend. We'll be hooking up with Kecia of Lemoncholys and also with Elizabeth from Creative Breathing! I'm so excited about going to the fair and also about meeting more blog friends! There are so many great vendors and things going on there. Earth Angels will have a big tent set up and is having artist demonstrations, (thats what I'm most wanting to see, I think.) Im sure we will be overwhelmed with all the great stuff and fun! If anyone else is going .. let me know and maybe we can find each other there! In other news! THank you for your precious prayers for my kitten!!! I know thats why he didnt end up having surgery. he was so close to it! Anyways, he is now back to pigging out, begging for what ever I'm eating and using his litter box like normal. Thank GOd!! I really was quite distraught that he was ill.. but.. we just wont go there again!! well, Ive got to run.. gotta get ready for work... (blaaah!!) I shall be back this evening. I'm hoping.. IF I have time to be able to post pictures of all the sweet things I've recieved in the mail in the last couple weeks! So... ta ta for now!
about a week ago, I caught him eating something that was stuck in his mouth. He was using his foot pushing on the side of his face and struggling with it what ever it was. I couldnt get his darn mouth open, and then when I did, what ever it was was gone. I was concerned, but he seemed ok. then a couple days later i realized he wasnt eating. but Frannie was turning her nose up at food a bit too, so I thought maybe they had a bug, or the food was no good, so kept offering different foods.. She finally was eating, but he wasnt. Then he just wasnt acting himself so Monday I took him to the vets. He kept him for the day and did some xrays with barium. there was nothing absolutely conclusive but the way the dye sat at the bottom of his stomach made the vet think that something could be there. But he told me that hes been wrong before and that he could open him up and not find anything. The barium seemed to be passing through his system regardless. I brought him home for the night and returned him in the morning for another xray to see if it looked any better. he still wasnt eating any cat food or treats at that time. He did however eat a little bit of ham in the morning before I took him. It was still inconclusive but he gave me two choices; one he did the surgery.. or two I take him to a specialist who can scope him, which cost more then if Jim did the surgery and he still could have to have it. I of course was sick about this. Not to mention planning on going away for the weekend! I decided to let him open him up. but, he didnt have time to do it until today late afternoon or early evening.
So again, I brought him home. Last night he perked up and began eating again. but he did not use the litter box. He went in and dug around but did not go. which of course concerned me. He obviously felt better though. He slept with me all night, (right by my head, he uses my face or neck as a pillow and purs in my ear! (its actually a little annoying.. but I adore him so its ok!) He has a habit of licking my eye lids and face when hes loveable and content which he hadnt been doing, but at 4:15 this morning he was all about waking me up for some attention! Both cats got up at 4:30 and I was hoping that maybe figgy had to go to the litter box.. but he didnt, instead I found them both chomping away at catfood in the kitchen. I checked the litter box to see if I had missed anything, which I hadnt and stirred it up a little.. (they love it when its just been cleaned out!) Figgy came in and scratched around and did nothing. I was disappointed and went back to bed. Got up an hour ago and figgy wanted to eat again. he even ate some kitty snacks that he wouldnt eat earlier in the week. and then He used the litter box! not alot.. but he used it none the less. Now.. I dont know what to do about the vet.
I suppose I will call him and tell him about how well fig is doing, but I do think the cat is constipated!
so that is my figgy story.. please..Pray PRay Pray that he does not need to have any surgery!

ohoh oh.. for all my praying friends.. please please please pray for FIGGY! hes not feeling well and isnt eating.. took him to the vets yesterday.. 220.00 and a bunch of xrays later and hes no better. isnt eating. He has to get better by thursday as I'm going out of town for the weekend. How can i go away if he is sick? besides, hes such a precious little baby.. he just cant be sick!
