I'll drink to that!

I'm doing the happy dance cause its the weekend! yay!!!! and.. its of course a 3 day weekend for us in the states.. labor day weekend. We are supposed to have perfect weather the next three days as well. The only unperfect thing about it, is this is the last weekend of summer. that is a little sad. Dont get me wrong.. I LOVE Fall... the problem is what comes after it. I dont mind winter until after new years eve.. then its really just getting started and Im done with it !
Jennifer and I went out bottle hunting last weekend and found a bunch of old ones.. we did a little mother daughter swap. I altered a bunch of her bottles and she is working on a halloween book for me! I think I got the better side of this deal! but she loved her bottles. We didnt do all of them, some of them were pretty sweet all by themselves. I havent seen them all together yet, the altered and unaltered.
I've been busy working on some swap things.. pinkeeps, shadow box.. ornaments.. and a special one to one swap between me and kecia. Halloween is in the air! My head gets so filled up with ideas for things to create, that I swear I'm going to burst.. and half of it will never get made because there isnt enough time!!!!!!!!!

I also have some things to show you that I recieved in the mail! but.. my camera batteries are dead this morning.. I will post them later though. I dont know how many of you know Elizabeth from creative breathing.. (whom I can tell you I adore!) I recieved my block from her block party and it is soooo wonderfully adorable! I also recieved a little tag book from her with pictures of some of the sweet blocks that she made for others. Im just tickled to have it! thanks Elizabeth!

I havent mentioned here yet, I dont think, that I'm going to the Country Living Fair in Columbus OHIo in two weeks. I'm so excieted about going. I'll be going with my sweet friend Brenda and also with Natalea from Kandeland and Jenny from be cheery! Just going is excieting enough, but I'm also going to be meeting Kecia of lemoncholys there, she will be a vender. Ive been talking to Kecia on line for a quite a while and have done some swaps with her I'm so happy that I'm going to be able to meet her. And we'll also be meeting Elizabeth from creative breathing! Its just going to be so much fun.. Plus.. Earth Angels will have a big tent set up.. I am really looking forward to that.. I know I'll be dropping some money in there!
Did I also tell you that my daughter and I have registered for Lisa kettells Art OPera in april! I'm really looking forward to that as well!

As for this weekend though, today.. its blogging, finishing a bear, grocery shopping and to the beach with a couple of girlfriends!
Then tonight probably working on some projects.
Tomorrow I will most likely putter and create.. then Monday.. a Labor day picnic at the lake of course!
Are you still with me?? this is kind of long and rambly! well, I must be off, there is a special little project waiting for me.. and I'm hungry!
(lost 3.5 pounds by the way!.. umm.. only gained back 1!!) must behave! must behave! must behave! (trying to brainwash myself!)
have a happy saturday.. or a wonderful weekend really!
hugs!

Oh my, all the bottles are just fantastic. I love them, and they all have such beautiful detail. Thanks so much for stopping by and I am so excited that you are going to join the "Cloche Party". Just to let you know, there isn't a signup. I will have Mr. Linky up the evening of the 10th so you can add your name there and then everyone will be able to find you. I would also be thrilled if you would post the button to help spread the word. I look so forward to seeing you there. Hugs, Marty

all of your bottles are amazing! I have several too, but they are on the smaller side.

this post is inspiring me to go out and get some today, though I can never get them as clean as I'd like!

have you ever seen this martha tutorial on enameling glass bottles? I want to try it one day!

Love the beautiful bottles. I love the colors Shabby Chic. MMMMMMM I have several old antique bottles in my china cabinet just sitting there. I have lots of stuff I could decorate them with. Maybe I will fancy them up. :-) How fun doing a swap with your daughter. Can't wait to see what she made for you.
Have a FANTASTIC LABOR DAY!

Love the bottles! I adore old bottles. I use them for vases with two or three blooms. I like them so much better than crystal vases.

You're posts are always so cheery Viv. I like what you have done with the bottles, what are you going to do with them now? I did some little bottles up a few years ago and have them on display in my guest bathroom.
Hugs,
Sandi

These are so wonderful!!! I have a BIG collection of great old bottles too, but so far, I've only made three (and sold two of them). I wish I could stay awake 'round the clock, to get to all the projects I'd like.
Enjoy your three day weekend!!!
