happy birthday America!

Hi everyone! I love summer.. I love holidays.. I love warm sunny days! I love the fourth of July in Lyndonville... ONly, this year the fourth was on the third! Lyndonville held all of its festivities on saturday so as not to intervere in the area churches services. It was a beautiful day , perfect for parades, craft shows, outdoor bands, tractor pulls, cotton candy booths, chicken BBQs, and fireworks! thats part of what went on in town yesterday. Lyndonville hosts the biggest fourth of July event of any of the surrounding towns and we are packed with people from morning til night. I love it. People who live in the middle of all the hub bub might feel differently, but I doubt it. Usually we have the buffalo philarmonic playing in the evening, but this year we didnt. Instead we had the musical 1776. Jennifer played abigail adams in it and she did a great job. I wish I had taken pictures! oh well. I did make up for the show, but didnt stay to watch, (I watched on friday night).
Every Fourth of July we head to our friends the Fellers for a day of fun in the sun and lots of good food. This year was no exception. We had a great time splashing in the pool, blowing off fireworks, playing badmitten(hey, how do you spell that?) it can not be "bad mitten!" ! lol!

And we ate ate ate and ate! dont want to think about that part to much. I was naughty again! But I had to be. There was nothing there that you could pass on!
anyways, after an afternoon of fun in the sun, we all pack up and head back uptown for amazing fireworks. And, when they are over, we just hang around until the place clears out some. It takes forever, but we enjoy just sitting back watching the other fools try to get out.. I dont know why they all rush to their cars.. they really arent going anywhere for a while!
I was pretty exhausted by the time we got home last night. It was a long day, packed full of fun activities. This afternoon some of the kids are coming over and we'll cook out again. We may pack up and head up to the lake to eat. Its another gorgeous day. Tomorrow the girls and I and some friends are going to the beach for the day. I'm sooo looking forward to it.

For now, I think I'm going to go make a blueberry and a cherry pie!! Happy Fourth of July everyone!! I hope youre all enjoying fun times with your families and friends!
oh.. arent the kittens cute? I dressed them up especially for you!
have a great day!!

Ooooohh my goodness! You're torturing me with those pictures of your cute kittens! They are adorable!
I'm hoping to get a bluepoint siamese kitten late this fall. Somewhere in the next week the mom-to-be is going to visit her man. I'll be able to follow the whole thing from pregnancy up to birth and further :)

So nice to hear about your great OC trip...and you look great:)

We saw the fireworks an hr. away on the 4th, with family, because so many towns only do it on the 2nd or 3rd now. Like Halloween, they keep changing the celebration dates and it perplexes the heck out of a bunch of us. When it falls on a weekend date especially, why not celebrate on that day???

We have great 4th of July celebrations around here as well- it is so historic and all.

Little kitty looks ADORABLE and my kids keep wanting one.haha

The little bear pinkeep is so cute as well:)
