I hope you all have a happy mothers day! I know that all the women I visit with here in blogland are wonderful mothers and deserve to be loved and celebrated by their families.
All of my children will be around today at some point today. They're cooking something up for dinner. not sure if they are literally cooking or if we will all go out. It doesnt matter to me which we do, as long as I get to see all their precious little faces. I Love my children with all my heart. They are my life. I pray that I will never let them down and that they will always adore me as I adore them. I am sooo glad that they all live nearby. I cant imagine them being far away!
(just deleted something that I had written here if things seem choppy or out of context all of a sudden. I had written something that I suppose I shouldnt share with the world.)
OH well.. Thank you dear God, for my own precious family!
sooo.. what will you all be doing today?
I'm going to make faux cupcakes to fill my little clouche above!
I made a trip to the book store yesterday so these yummies are waiting for me to hit the front porch later when it warms up a little!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, VIV! I love you to pieces & it always makes me so happy to see the closeness between you & your kids! I SOOOO relate to the issues with your mother (believe me - 'nuff said!) but we get past it, learn lessons from it, and try to do better! I hope at least one of YOUR sweeties will give you an EXTRA hug (or two or three or ...) from ME today!!!!
Vivian..I forgot to post I adore your banners!!Awesome job girl!
Now for Mother's Day..same boat different story..This is not my favorite holiday.I have 2 mom's birth whom I have found 5 years ago...she won't claim me..the sibilings do.And the mom who raised me..after adopting me was able to have 2 of her own..and NEVER let me forget it.My Mom..my mema who raised me with open arms and allll her love no matter what is in heaven. So mother's Day for me is hard. But God knew my heart and gave me 5 awesome children
who make this a better day for me than I could ever imagine.Let us be soooo thankful for our children who made us awesome mom's!!!!
Love you girl.Happy Mother's Day to you!!Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham
yeah, your story reminds me of my mom's relationship with her mother...but look at you and look at my mom: two of the best mother's out there! so Happy Mother's Day my dear friend...you truly are one of the most awesome mom's..I always think that of you! I am sitting around the house kind of pouting today, doing nothing...guess I should clean or something. Now that I saw your post I think I will go treat myself to WWC magazine! Have a good day Viv. xo
Happy Mother's Day to you sweet Vivian!
My daughter is coming later with her husband and my two precious grand dogs. I can't wait! As for your post, you have a wonderful attitude about your mother. My mother was great, but she passed away at a young age 35 years ago and I miss her so much. Some people have a natural maternal instinct, but some do not. We learn to live with the cards we're dealt - which as you know is sometimes easier said than done. Wishing you a wonderful day with your kids.

Happy Mother's Day! And yes, we do get what we get...like it or not. :) I put off calling my mom until 30 minutes ago...as you can see I waited until the day was nearly over. I'm sorry I called too. But, I did learn from the way I was raised exactly what I did NOT want to be as a mother...followed through with it, and my kids turned out great. Not perfectly perfect, but perfect to me. :) As I'm sure your's are to you. Have a great rest of the day and enjoy your babies!
Happy Mother's Day! I had a fantastic Mom and I miss her still after 15 years. Her Mother (my Grandmother) was completely different and while she was never horrible to my Mom or us grand kids, she was very opinionated with plenty of snide remarks, and added to that, she felt very entitled in her older age. Funny, that I didn't even think of her on this day. Glad you had a good day. Take care enjoy those magazines!
I got off the hook today, because my mother in in a nursing home, and my brother chose not to get her a phone, which I understand and support. She would drive him crazy calling at all hours, otherwise. So, I can't call her unless my brother is there with his cell phone. He used to be annoyed at me for not calling our mother when she lived in her house, but he has learned that it's not me--she doesn't want to talk to me! I told him I'm willing to talk to her every week, but he only wants to go through that about once a month now that he has to be there and hear her. I'm sure he gets an earful after we hang up, too! I try to stay on safe topics like the weather and food, but she is always unhappy with me anyway. At least, now my brother knows I'm not shirking my duty on purpose.
You can't pick what kind of mother you get, but you can choose what kind of mother you'll be. And you've chosen to be the best!
Happy Mother's Day!

Hope your day with your kids was wonderful!
Happy belated mother's day. I hope you were spoiled rotten.
Hope you had a great Mother's Day, Viv! So sorry to hear about your mom. My daughter-in-law also has issues with her mother, and I tell her to just concentrate on making her own little family as happy as can be. My mother died when I was 6, and was raised by a step mother who was not happy about it. We have never been close, so I miss not having a mom.
It's so good to hear you talk about how much you love your kids. And to defend them! You're a great mom!
A late HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you. I'm behind on everything as usual.
Was away for a week teaching and then it was back to unpacking, painting, etc to our house. It's going to take time but will get it done.
Glad you enjoyed your day with your family. You have wonderful children. Sorry about your Mother. Hope she realizes what a wonderful daughter she has.
LOVE YOUR BLOG AS ALWAYS. I have missed alot and now going back and look and read more of it. :-)
Hugs <3
