I started out to make mothers day cards.. Ive decided that I am not a good card maker! so I made these little banners instead and sent them as cards. I hope they like them! I probably should have just gone out and bought some cards!
ok..so, not for nothing and sorry for a momentary bit of whining.... but omg.. my body is soo stiff and achey this morning! It all goes back to the day I was picking up those darn sticks! I pulled a muscle in my groin or hip or whatever... and it freaken hurts. I moving like a freaken ugly old slouth! come to think of it, thats exactly what I look like today! LOL!
I started putting easter away last night and have been working on it still since I got up at 6:00 this am. I have most of it packed up.. now I just have to find a way to put my house back together! what the heck did I have out before anyways? hmmm.. we went from halloween, to thanksgiving, to christmas, to snowmen, to valentines and then to easter.. Now I have to go to the "normal" look..
what ever the heck that is!
So thats part of what I'm doing today. There's also a doll and bear show in batavia, that i would like to go to, but not sure I want to go limp around anywhere! Im also dying to go to barnes and nobles for a magazine fix.. we'll see how I feel with in the next couple hours... Its only 7:20 now and I really have to put my house back together .
and have a great day.
I'll be back tomorrow to wish you a happy mothers day!

SO FREAKING CUTE!!! I love, love, love your banners! Sorry about the pain. Just goes to show you what yard work will do for you. Hope you feel better. Try not to overdo.
OX's...Tracy :)
I love the banners as well, sooooo much better than any store card! Hope you feel better, relaxing in a big 'ol chair at B&N might just be the ticket. Have a wonderful weekend! ~mary helen
Banners are much more creative than cards and you do so a beautiful job on your banners. I hope your body feels better soon. Sounds like you need a nice bubble bath and some good magazines.
Happy Saturday and soon-to-be Mother's day!
These are so sweet! Hope you feel better soon.
I love your banners. Very cute! I'm sorry about your pains. It seems like almost every day my husband and I are complaining about our aches and pains. Getting old is great, isn't it? I had to laugh about your magazine fix. I am also addicted to magazine. Since Borders went out of business, I have to drive pretty far to get to B&N. So I can't get my favorites as easily!
I would love the banner! what a thoughtful gift you created! I am sorry about the pain, I know the feeling all too well. I wish you love and happiness this weekend. Happy Pink Saturday and Mother's Day to you! Anne
These are SO cute! So much more fun to receive than a card!
Hope you're feeling better soon...have you tried soaking in a tub with epsom salts? Warm baths and magazines are a perfect go together. :)
Oh Viv, these are wonderful. I love them!
Viv,
These banners are wonderful! I would have just been estatic to see one of these in the mail!!!! I am sure whoever you sent them to will also love them!!!! I haven't put Easter away yet, not much out, but I had a bug ( or food poisoning) and it has been 5 days since I felt human, today being that first day! WOW!!!!!!! Getting older isn't for sissies, is it????? Sandy
Soooo adorable - even better than cards. I too want to go to Barnes and Noble, but even though Champaign is only 30 miles away I hate to waste the gas. So I think I will play and putter and see what glitter can do for my outlook:) Hope that soreness eases up and you can enjoy Mothers Day!
LOVE it, viv!!! they are precious!!

Viv,
I just love those banners. If i were your mom (haha) and got one of those I would be thrilled. I just had to say that because I have been having to "coach" my family all day on Mother's Day and this would have been the kind of thing I would have loved to get. Oh, well! We are a great little family but you know, no family is perfect! These bright happy colors would be perfect in my craft room that I started to make about ten years ago and have never gotten it to look right! Think you better Sell some of these...truly.
XO,
Suz
Those banners are simply adorable. What a perfect gift - much better than a card - I hope they get saved and put out on display year after year. So cute.
I would be thrilled to receive an adorable banner instead of a card. More decoration with which to feel special!
