woo! what a weekend!

yay! sandy's here
wow, this weekend came and went so fast!  but we had the best time.  Sandy arrived friday at lunch time and we were busy from the moment she arrived til this morning when she left!  I think I pooped her out!  Poor thing slept on my couch.. probably didnt get the best sleep.  but shes a trooper!
gifts from sandy

After Sandy arrived I fixed us some sandwhiches and a salad and then exchanged gifties before we headed out to do some christmas shopping! (sandy spoiled me!) the best was a book that she had made of the our weekend that we spent at her house this past June and her little christmas doll!  I made her the elf on the stool and I gave her some warm knitted booties.  While out galavanting we hit up buffalo stamps, the homegoods store and the christmas tree shops.  we were going to go to a nice Italian dinner at Carabas, but the weather was getting nasty and we headed back home instead and ended up getting hotdogs at Teds before getting home.
 babys christmas book
Then we got busy on some crafting!  well sandy did anyways.  I had bought the cutest paper pack to make a little christmas journal of my little grandbaby pies this christmas.  Not having any clue how to make one myself and sandy (and Natalea) being the queen of the most awesome journals, cut mine out and sewed the pages up for me and now its all ready to go.. just waiting for those christmas pictures!  Now, I just hope those babies cooperate and let me take lots of cute pics of them!
After that, we were so tired and we went to bed!
 in the morning!
I being a very early getter upper tried to be quiet in the morning as to not wake up sandy.. but she was soon up and ready and rearing to get  crafting!  She had brought these santa and elf hats with her and she thought I looked like mrs Claus in the santa hat!  we had to take some silly pictures..  Oh and if you saw the previous post, we also made the elf yourself video the night before!  we had a lot of giggles and laughs!
 first craft.. garlandsnoel stars
Our day was spent crafting away!  we made these star garlands, (mine arent finished yet).
then we made faux christmas cupcakes!  dont they look delicious?  and isnt that an adorable picture of Sandy?
 faux cupcakes minesandys cupcakes
We ended up with a bunch of company too.. Bethany came over with torry pie, and Jennifer came over with Ella (did not get a pic of Ella, darn!) and my other Sandy friend and her grandson popped in for a few minutes too!  Sandy got to meet my marla pie on friday when we stopped by her house for a few minutes.  I didnt get any pictures that day.  but Sandy did, hopefully she will post one of my little princess pie!
torry came to visit us!torry and grammy elves
Soon after all the company left we got back to crafting!  We made these adorable little snowball girls!  Sandy brought all the stuff with her for us to make them.  arent they freaken cute?
 snowgirls
OK.. then... if all that wasnt enough... we made cookies!  LOts of cookies!  We made peanut butter kisses, jam thumbprints and snickerdoodles!
 we baked
yummy yummy yummy!!!
 cookies
then......  out to dinner and driving around looking for an open pharmacy as my husband was pretty sick and had some scripts that needed filling..   all the pharmacys around her close at 6:00 on the weekends... who knew?  well I do now.. that is good info to have.  wish I had known it sooner!
After dinner and some wine,  it was back home to do some more creating.
 more cute crafting!
Arent these the cutest little ornies?  Sandy had these tiny little campbells soup cans that were so much fun to play with!  She left a couple extra with me and Im going to make some with Torry and marlas cute little faces in them.
Anyways.. then we crashed!
It was a very full weekend.  And when Sandy left this morning she was headed to Nataleas to visit with her for a few hours... I bet she is exhausted tonight.    I went shopping this afternoon with my daughter and now Im pretty tired myself.
Looking at a pretty busy week ahead, I have a big bear and ornament order to fill, Jennifers HS christmas concert on weds night (shes the music teacher at Lyndonville HS), Bethanys 27th birthday dinner gathering here on thursday night and then Torry pies 2nd birthday party on saturday.  For now, I think Im heading to the couch for the rest of the night!
toodles all!  and have a great week!

What a wonderful weekend. Love the blue stocking. And that photo of you and Tory is adorable. Did the Santa on the cupcake come from a
99c snow globe?
