my snuggle pies

Arent my little cuddle snuggle bugs adorable?  they have barely left my side since saturday..   well they are always with me anyways I suppose so I guess its not all that unusual!  but no one else wanted to come near me so it was nice to have them to cuddle with.  my sweet little naughties! I just love them so!  they will soon be 4 years old in march!

here they were as babies!  when I got them.   Two different litters so that they could have their own babies... 

look how light they were.  OMG.. werent they the cutest little babies?  They were so freaken cute, I could hardly stand it!  Inseparable right from the start.

they had the sweetest little families!  And figgy was such a good father.  he truly helped care for everyone of those kittens.

Arent they precious?  they had three litters before I got them both fixed.  I wish we could have more litters now.  I love having a bunch of kittens in the house.  All three litters, when they were about 6 weeks old learned to find their way to our bed at about 5:00 am every morning.  we would wake up to bouncing kittens!  I personally loved it, Tony.. not so much! LOL

Anyways.. I love my kitties and they have been taking good care of my while I've been sick.  

Believe it or not as Im typing this, they are having a lovers spat.  lol!  not sure what the problem is.. but they'll work it out.  they always do.

Anyways, I am feeling much better and though it would probably be best for me to stay home another day, as long as I feel mostly human in the morning I will be going back to work.  but for now.. its back to the couch with figgy and frannie and some new magazines.

Hoping to do some easter crafting this weekend!!

omg....

still not well.... havent eaten since lunch time on sat, except for a half piece of dry toast last night and another half this morning. I have probably slept (uncomfortably) more in one weekend then I do in a whole week.... was hoping to go to work today, but every time I stand up I get really dizzy and nauseous again. just had a night mare (morning mare) that I lost torry pie in the grocery store and woke up totally panicked! I probably should eat something...but absolutely nothing sounds good.. and I have a whopping headache that just wont go away. made a cup of tea thinking caffeine might help... but I will have to drink it in order for that to work... hoping to feel better today... please god!

Oh, and to top it all off, I was feeding buffy and went to pet the little monster and she bit the crap out of my finger... freaken nasty bird!

ha!  this is my dear dear friend sandy, isnt she cute as a bug?    she reminds me of one of the who's in Grinch movie.   I had a fun evening out to eat and to hit up a few stores with some girlfriends last night.  we laughed our butts off!  I seriously had a sore throat when i got home from laughing and talking and still do this morning.  (at least I think its from that.. hope Im not getting something!!)

And in a few hours I'll be heading back out with my daughters and future DIL Vanessa.  We'll be minus one as  Tiffany cant go with us as she and robert have plans, but were gonna go do some shopping and out to lunch somewhere where I can get a salad!  I must behave today, because I was a wee bit naughty last night!

OK..and.. now I have the desire to put valentines away and get easter out!!   I wonder if I could pull that off in 5 hours  (meeting the girls at 11:00)  ...nah.. maybe I'll clean the house instead and do that tomorrow,  probably a better idea. 

So I'm off for now!  cleaning.. woohoo!!

5 pounds

Did I tell you that I'm back on weight watchers?  probably not.. I just started again last week.  and.. Ta dah!  I lost 5 pounds already.  I do love the weight watchers program.  It really works for me when I follow it correctly.  fruit and veggies are free foods.. so I can keep myself full on them and use my points for other healthy foods.    I  honestly think I already feel better!    

you know my son is getting married in october.. Im not being fat at his wedding!  Im not being fat this summer..  so bare with me.. you'll probably be seeing lots of food posts coming.  lol. 

these two pics are my breakfast and my lunch for today. (notice my valentine decorations are still up! heehee!)   I also have a banana and a small bag of air popped popcorn too.  That is one of the things I love about weight watchers.. you can eat a lot if you eat the right things.    there 6 points in my breakfast and there are 6 in my lunch... that leaves quite a bit for dinner.   probably chicken fajetas.   

as for valentine decorations.. Im thinking this weekend I might pack them away and pull out the easter ones..  or.. maybe I might wait just one more week... who knows..  it'll happen when ever the mood strikes me.

hopping down the bunny trail...

ahhhhh... got that out of my system!  Ive been dying to start my first easter piece of the year!  this seemed to take me all day for some reason.

I didnt like the bunny at all at first.. and almost didnt finish him, but the more I did, the more I liked him.

usually when I dont like what Im working on, I just keep on working on it, and eventually I can get it to a place that I will like it. (sometimes not!)

I'm pooped out from the long 4 day weekend, even though I really did pretty much nothing but play in my craft room today!   I did clean my house a bit this morning, but thats it for the whole day.

Friday I shopped and went out with a friend,  saturday we had marlainas birthday party.  Then I brought Torry pie home with me after the party and kept him over night. Yesterday I was busy all day and I was really looking forward to a quiet day of playing  for today.  which I had!

while I'm here...I gotta show you these pics from yesterday morning while Torry was here.  he was coloring with figgy and frannie at my craft table.  they didnt take their eyes off of him! He loved their attention and was tickled that they were there with him..

OK.. thats all for tonight girls, Im cold and tired.. heading for jammies and the couch!

celebrations!

Its been a crazy week here.  I havent spent much time on the computer this week.  but finally have a few minutes this morning to do a post.   We celebrated Marlainas first birthday yesterday.  Her birthday was actually in dec, but tiffany and Robert decided to wait until now when life was calmer to do her party. 

Isnt she the cutest little thing?  I could eat her up!  And shes such a good girl besides!  This picture below cracks me up.. marla really didnt care about opening presents and Torry Loved the tissue paper and the gift bags that everything came out of.  ( I made the marla banner, but this isnt a good pic of it.)

Tiffany did a great job putting the party together.  she made all the goodies and decorations herself,  I love that she is so creative.  Her theme was alice in wonderland... I love the flying rocking horse.

See those little cups???  omg...   talk about delicious!  those are nutella cheesecake cups!    the bottom of the cups are crumbled oreos mixed with butter, sort of like a grahmcracker crust, then its nutella and cream cheese mixed together with whipped cream on top..   She found the recipe on line.. this is definitely something I want to have again sometime!

Im sure Jennifer is thrilled that they are all so interested in the piano seeing as she is a music teacher and also teaches piano!   Isnt Ella (my step grandpie) beautiful!?

I have to admit as each gift got opened I got a little more excited for rob and tiff.. because I knew there was something special coming up...

And I couldnt wait for it not to be a secret anymore!

Someone emailed this to me, and I thought it was a great analogy.  read it, I think you'll agree!

A young lady confidently walked around the room while leading and explaining stress management to an audience with a raised glass of water. Everyone knew she was going to ask the ultimate question, 'half empty or half full?'... She fooled them all .... "How heavy is this glass of water?" she inquired with a smile.

Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. To 20 oz.

 

She replied , "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.

 

If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an

Good morning all my bloggy valentines!!

Its finally here.. Valentines day!    all my little valentine decorations are all so happy that the day they've been waiting for is here.    They might be a little worried that they will soon get packed away to make way for Easter.. but I think they can hang around another week or two.. though you know, Easter is early this year!

Ive had fun making and sending valentines and creating those little owls and Kims monkey,   as well as baking heart shaped pies and cookies.  And though I only did a couple Valentine swaps this year, they were perfect!  Speaking of swaps, you know my friend kelly that I always swap with, she sent me the sweet little package of love you see in the first picture!  sooo freaken cute!!  the big lady bug and the other three clay pieces in the second picture are all from her from previous valentines days too..  SWEET stuff!

 
 Ive already signed up for one easter swap which I am looking forward to at sandys.  I posted the link on the side for anyone who might be interested.  

Im short on time as usual!  I was up at 5:30 but I made a baked mac and cheese and a batch of muffins to take to work for our valentines day celebration!  

I hope everyone has a great day today and gets spoiled with flowers and candy!  my hubbys buying me a bottle of baileys irish creme!  lol!!  he heard me say I was dying for some to my cousin the other night!  mmmm!  I do love me some baileys Irish creme on ice!

I am finished..

Almost Valentines day!  I am done with valentine creating... I did the last of it this morning when I made this valentine bag above.  Its my valentine receptacle for work!  We're like kids !  Some of us do a valentine exchange at our office.  And we have a receptable contest!  which, I've never won!  Some of the girls have come up with some really cute ideas.   I think there are 20 of us participating this year.  I'll be delivering mine tomorrow!

These are the valentines I made above, simple but cute.  I just printed these out, glued them onto construction paper and cut them out.  Easy peasy.. and arent they adorable?!  I bought reeses cups to go with them. We're having a pig out day on Valentines day too..   lol.. I got everyone to agree to it today...... and then started weight watchers tonight!   guess I wont be doing a ton of pigging out on thursday!  I'll bring something I can eat though.

hopefully this package will make it to her by valentines day.  Luckily my husbands friend was at out house at 5:30 this morning in his big truck, plowing us out!  So grateful, so now I can make a trip out to the post office this morning!

 

we have a lot of snow here!  I'm guessing a good 18 inches came down yesterday.  not as bad as our friends along the east coast.   

  

I have to admit that the snow really is pretty. 

  

but, Id rather stay inside and enjoy this view instead!
