hi Girls!  I hope everyone had a great mothers day.  Sorry I didnt do a mothers day post, I was so busy over the weekend I never had time.  Plus I only took a couple pics on mothers day and they didnt come out very well.   but I will have good pictures in the future, cause the kids gave me a gift certificate for having our family pictures done!  I want to wait til our new baby comes, shes scheduled for a c section on july 2nd.  Robert and Tiffany have decided to name our new baby pie, Lillianna Grace.  I love that name.  Anyways, I figured sometime this summer we'll do a family picnic at the lake and Erin, (the photographer) can come to the lake to take the pictures.  

For weeks Ive been trying to decide what to make for AMy Powers "club little house" swap.  we needed to mail out 12 of something and we will recieve 12 other doll house items in return.  I cant wait to see what comes back.    These little tables were pretty easy, though a bit time consuming.  They are made from match boxes, covered in card board then painted, sanded, distressed with distressing ink, and then modpodged.

I think they turned out kind of cute. I need to make myself one. 

Notice the doll in the background?  and the head in the nest?  I bought that doll and head at the doll show this weekend.  the doll will become a witch for halloween and the head is going to become a mushroom doll very soon!   CAnt you just see her painted green and hair dyed black with a witches hat and broom!?  maybe a little clay pointed nose? 

I bought a tiny little donkey too.  I only spent a few dollars there this weekend.  But the show was better then it has been in years.  there was a ton of stuff I would have liked to buy, but Ive gotten to a place where I can talk myself out of buying some things because I already have too much stuff!  but I have to admit there was a cute baby doll there that I wish I had bought!  "dont need it dont need it dont need it!"  thats what I keep telling myself!

 well, I suppose I have about 45 minutes before I need to leave for work.. and I still need to clean the litter box and the bird cage.. feed figgy frannie and buffy, make my lunch, iron my clothes.. and go!

Edit, I missed some elves!

  

Ive been waiting to show you a few of the gifts I made for Christmas this year, but couldnt post til now!  My dad had this dog named Baretta for many years.  Hes been gone for quite a few years now, but I've always wanted to try needlefelting a little dog that resembles him.. finally this year I got to it!  I havent talked to my dad yet, but I'm sure he loved his little baretta dog!   I also made my step mother a cute bear, but I must not have saved the pictures I took of it.  I know I took them.. but cant find them.  she was a cute bear made out of a chenille bedspread... oh well... cant show you!

I also made a couple other smaller bears, this one below for my friend Beckie, but in the end the bear didnt look exactly like this.  she ended up with buttons and holding a snowflake.. similar to the one below that..

This one went to another friend.  in fact I made two of these and I have one boxed up and waiting and waiting to go into the mail for my friend Kelly!  Im horrible about getting to the post office.. of course my car was in the shop for over a week.. so that didnt help!

this little set below I sent to my mom.  Im not usually a big fan of plastic canvas, but I thought this little gingerbread house was cute and my tiny bear would look cute in it.  I should probably call all my parents today seeing as I havent talked to any of them in a while.

I had been avoided swaps for Christmas, but a friend asked me to participate in an ornie swap and I couldnt pass it up!  these are the little suzie snowflake ornaments that I made.  I also received some really fantastic ornies in return, but I am so not on my A game in getting the pictures taken and posted!

Anyways.. there were a few more little things, but I guess I didnt get pictures of everything... OH well!

So as promised, the elves!  Of the 13 or so that were interested in joining in, I only have back about 7 pictures plus mine to post.  I know its a busy time of year I didnt even meet my own deadline! LOL!   I think my challenge end date was 12/6...  and I just finished mine this weekend!  lol!  Its hard to fit in everything we want to do sometimes.  isnt it?  So with out further ado..  here they are!

I think I'm actually feeling the tug.. to put halloween away...  such a huge job for such a lazy person!  but I may do it this weekend...  I dont have a lot of thanksgiving stuff, but as soon as I finish my bear orders I do have some thanksgiving crafty ideas brewing!

So TGIF!!  You know I look forward to my weekends.. Im not too thrilled about this one because I'm on call.  so keep your fingers and toes crossed that its quiet.. remember the last time I was on call I ended up with 25 hours in!  I'd be happy with just a few this time!

HI girls!  So Ive been receiving packages again!  so much to show you!....  I truly believe if someone takes the time to send something we should share it on our blogs.. but to be very honest... sometimes I forget!  then I feel really bad! 

 I want to soon post pics from the witches hat swap.. but out of 30 girls who participated, I only have pics from about 16 of them.   So I will wait a little longer before posting those .

However.. I can share with you the latest things that have arrived here!

As you already know I had 3 partners in the witches hat swap.  the four pics above are from Hope from pixies ponderings.  Hope lives in the UK.  I didnt post a picture, but she also sent me all sorts of british treats!  thank you so much Hope!  YOu truly spoiled me.  she even made me a halloween book and there is an awesome garland that I hung immediately on my fireplace.  Enlarge these pics and be sure to check everything out!  I feel bad that I cant show you better pics.. but take my word for it..she is awesome and so is everything she sent! 

Another package that I recieved when I returned home sunday was this one above from Barbara Burkard.  Barb was one of my first blog friends and she was my very first swap partner.  She is a doll and look, she even sent halloween shirts for Torry and marlaina pies!  Along with a basket full of halloween cheer.. cant wait to make those pumpkin muffins and have already been eating the carmel apple candies!  thank you barb!

Package 3 was a birthday pressie from Sandy Camarda from Sandys creations.  Thank you so much Sandy.  This sooo sweet pillow inspired me to clean my bedroom and rearrange some dolls and bears!  I love it!

Package number 4 was from an ornament swap that Natalea hosted with some of the girls that I went to canada with.   they are all awesome!  From  (in order) Grace palazzo pink in the city, sandy Camarda,  Natalea Kandefor kandeland, Tammy from the other side of me, and then the spider is one of the ornies I made!  Isnt everything awesome?  I love halloween ornies!
