When life gives you snow.. make snowmen!

life is so crazy sometimes isnt it? so much going on here. My father in law passed away yesterday morning. so sad. he had esophageal cancer and alzheimers as well. All I can say is at least he isnt suffering now. I feel bad for my mother in law. This was her second husband. We lost Tonys father to a massive heart attack when he was only 54 years old.
I took today off as a Bereavement day and I'll be taking monday off for the funeral . He's being cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the late spring or summer, so I'll save the other bereavement day for then. I think as sad as it is for my MIL, its probably also a huge weight off too. I plan on seeing her later today. please keep her in your prayers.

In other news.. STILL NO BABY!!! but Beth has an appt this morning. Please please pray that the doctor "gets it" and does something to get that baby born before there is no insurance on monday. Bethany said that they dont care. I guess its all in Gods hands and the baby will come when hes ready for the baby to come. I hate not having control of things! I cant even let someone else push my grocery cart!!!! LOL!
OH!! speaking of Bethany... Her boyfriend Torry (whom I ADORE) has a job interview this afternoon at 2:00. please please please pray that it goes well and he gets the job. He deserves a better job then he has. thank you!
Jennifers show opens tonight. Irving Burlins White Christmas. She has a lead role and is playing Betty Hanes. I'm excited to see the show all finished. I've had some glimpses of it and it looks like its going to be really good. I'll get pictures and hopefully some video of Jen singing to share here. I'll be at all the shows doing make up. Always fun! I hope the weather is decent. I hate driving in the snow.
speaking of snow...
We've been lucky, this all the snow weve gotten, while less then an hour away they got totally pounded and hundreds of people were stranded on the thruway for over 18 hours. I can not imagine! I'd surely have some sort of panic attack and freeze to death as well! the heat in my car sucks! This reminds me that I should put together a kit in my car in case that ever did happen.
Well, I'm going to go do something constructive.. like work on those bears!
have a sweet day!
oopsss.. almost forgot! Do you like my little snowfriends?

Hi Viv, sorry to hear of your Family's loss. Prayers going out for all of you, for your loss, the baby, the new job and the play!
Those snowmen are adorable and I have to tell you, you have one of my fav songs on your play list! Suzy snowflake! I remember singing this as a child and would sing it to my girls when they were little. I was so excited a few years ago when I found it on itunes.

Maybe Bethany should just inform her doctor she doesn't have money to pay for the baby if it isn't born before her insurance runs out. That might change that doctor's mind!

I had the great luck to tear up my knee right before my old insurance expired. I would have to start all over paying my big deductible on the new insurance if I had my surgery done on it. My AWESOME surgeon and anesthesiologist scheduled my surgery on SUNDAY, the last day of my old insurance. Bless their hearts!

Vivian! I have just made a paper clay snowman and said, well that's all my holiday crafting; and THEN I visit here! OMG! I am smiling from ear to ear! I have got to make snowman ornaments now! I just received my box of ornaments and have them laid out on the counter to wait for my family to help me open. Oh Vivian, I have so much to learn about crafting. The ornaments I can Peek at are beyond beautiful! Thank you again for all your hard work! Thanks please to each lady who made ornaments. Elizabeth

The one thing I appreciate in this post is the representation of a life passed but hope around the corner...fresh snow, the hope of Christmas and no more confusion for your father in law, and the fact, snowmen brings us joy and a baby to come...all rolled into one.
Were down the rabbit hole in Christmas Land...just jump Viv and follow us...

LOVE the snowmen, and all the other great pics!!! Looks like your daughter had a great time in the show.

I'm so sorry about your father-in-law. My mother-in-law had similar circumstances. Her first husband (my husband's dad) died of melanoma at age 51, and her 2nd husband died in his 60's of liver cancer... So sad. I will pray for your mother-in-law, Viv.

I also wanted to say THANK YOU again, and apologize for not posting about the gorgeous Halloween goodies you sent to me. My camera broke... dead as a doornail... on Halloween night while the kids were trick-or-treating... Ugh. And my laptop's been on it's way out too. You have probably noticed that I really haven't posted in a long time. BUT... I so love your handwork, and it is very special having something you made.
