Its spring! I'm nesting!

tweedle deedle dee...

tweedle tweedle dee
tweet tweet!!
cleaned my craft room lastnight
and did a little needlefelting.
I'm a little sad, because I was supposed to be going to ARt Opera this week in NJ.. but we just couldnt work it out. SOOO disappointed. wanted to meet Jenny Heid and Jenny Hernandez and Lisa Kettell..and so many more. Kecia posted a picture of jenny H on her facebook lastnight and she has pink hair.. I've always wanted pink hair. just dont think I could pull it off and live in my small little town. maybe a pink streak.. now this I should consider! I want pink hair!!!

Not quite this pink though.. sweet soft cotton candy pink!
the exact color of Jenny Heids!
maybe I'm too old for pink hair..
I'll be the big 50 this year!
waaaahhhhh !!!!

Love your needlefelting, Vivian! I need to pull mine out and get stabbing! Your craft room looks wonderful, too!

I think you should go for a little pink hair--why not?! Start with a subtle little streak somewhere and see what happens!

Whatever you do today, make it fun!

I have to say, I love needle felting work. I just went to the junk market at the Fremont Street Fair (check out yesterdays post on the Troll under the Seattle Bridge) two weeks ago and bought my first peace. A mushroom...I just love it and two little people to live under it. I'll post on it towards the end of the month when The Piccadilly lands on their island. Pink is in, go for it. Celebrate 50...I'm 51 just ahead of you.

I think that when my hair turns white, I'll change it to pink. Trouble is, my family tends to go all mousy gray, not white and silver.

You can use one of those temp rinses in the big gray bottle, one of those will give your color hair a pink tint and will wash out if you want. You can also get clip on color streaks in the teen sections at lots of stores like WallyWorld. My hair has been every color under the sun, and now the natural happenings are just as much fun as the colorings were.

WHAT???? Too old for pink hair? No WAY, Viv! You know what I gave myself for Christmas at age 54? (I'll be 60 in September.) A TATTOO! Feathers & beads on a leather strip. A couple of 'friends' actually DITCHED me, saying they 'couldn't be around a person who defaced her body' & one woman asked me, "What are you going to do when you start to sag?" Uhhhhh ... have a longer FEATHER? Bwahahahaha! Besides, the tat's on my NECKBONE, for crying out loud! I say pink becomes you, my dear! And you can always color it back or let it grow out if you do it & get tired of it. Now! Love your new felted pretties, your craft room looks awesome, and you????? Well, YOU totally & completely ROCK!

Viv,

YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO HAVE PINK HAIR! You should do a pink streak in the front in a light pink. You would look beautiful. Seriously.

Congrats on your 47 lbs. You look stunning in all your photos.

Your craft room is such a happy place and I love all your felt treasures, especially the birds, nest and eggs.

Have a great weekend and fun at CATS.

Those nests are coming along nicely! Sorry you couldn't make it to Art Opera but I'm sure Lisa will host it again next year!

Pink would be nice. :-) Love the needle felting. The little nest are so cute. 50 is just a number. I never let my birthday numbers bother me. Don't think of it as getting older. Think of it as having more fun and feeling younger! :-)
