pooped out!

so long thanksgiving!
wow.. 5 days off and I feel like I need several more to recover from them!
wednesday was spent cooking and cleaning and visiting with all my girls and babies..  Thursday of course was spent cooking, putting up the tree, cleaning up and visiting with family.  Thursday night babysitting and dessert at our friends house.  Friday packed up all the thanksgiving and dragged in, I dont even know how many bins of christmas!  decorated... ALLLLLLL day until about 10;30 that night.. saturday.. still decorated but did go do a little shopping for a few hours.. and then back to decorating and cleaning house..  until again 10:30 last night.. (remember Im up and moving at 5:00 am...)  And that brings us to today...  I still have to do the outside and the front porch and I need to clean up this house..
girls.. I have a secret.....
here comes santa claus!
I have too much stuff!
But look at this cute old set I bought yesterday...
lol.. I can not fit another thing in this house....
well.. maybe I can...
lol
Ive just had a piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast, gonna finish my tea.. and then get started on my day full of work! Hoping if I can get everything done by this afternoon, maybe I can do a little crafting.. or work on bears..   I just got another order..
well see, maybe I'll just crash on the couch watching christmas movies!
Have a great sunday girlie pies!

LOL! Other than the grandbaby part & the shopping part your time line sounds just like mine! I store my Christmas stuff in the big closet I have under the steps I call "the cave of wonders"! Seriously I have too much stuff too. I looked around a & thought I have got to get rid of some of this....but I'd have snagged that Santa set too had I seen one...I'll just enjoy looking at yours & be happy for you....then you'll be packing it up in Jan & finding a spot to store it! Haha! Onward we march....

Viv! You GO, girl. Your house sounds a lot like my own. Sometimes I meet myself coming up the down stairs! I am dragging my Christmas out today, too. I have a feeling it's gonna be a long day- xo Diana

It sounds like a great time to me, Vivian! I started decorating Friday, too, although it is slow going right now. My son is here so I'm trying to pay attention to him, while my eyes wander to the bins in the living room. : ) I should have it wrapped up by Monday or Tuesday though. We have a small place now, so having the bins around is driving me crazy.

I'm glad you rescued those Santa mugs. I know you're burning the candles at both ends right now. Enjoy your Sunday. Monday will be here soon enough. I'm not ready to go back to work. It's been a lovely break.

I know what you mean about too much stuff. I spent all of yesterday unpacking and trying to find a place for everything. We are sitting for our grandson today, (17 months old) and I don't want stuff on the floor for him to get into. So I'm working extra hard this morning. Wish me luck!

It's no wonder we are friends. I eat pie for breakfast too and I can't even have a cheesecake in my house because I cannot resist!

Thanks for stopping by Vivian! I was reading back on your post and I'm thinking that picture of your family is your home? I have seen peeks of it before and it's so darn cozy and charming.

I set my heart on a journey all day yesterday. I did a wild thing, I moved all my living room furniture around to the point it's a little crowded and that is what makes it cozy! I frosted all the windows and I weeded out decorations that were not meaningful to me and it felt so darn good! Like you, I have too much stuff but I have a cute little antique toy booth that I'm making some extra cash on and my stuff seems to sell so I'm in the recycling mode.

I then moved on to the laundry room and I had some cute baby dolls so I redid that too and took out the red and went a little softer with pinks...

Then, on to the downstairs bathroom. I did it in woodlawn gnomes! Oh my gosh, cute as a wink. My camera will not download my pics to the computer, I'm having issues so when I get it figured out I'll post them!

Happy merry making till we chat again!

Oh, Vivvy! We are heart-sisters for SURE! I always come away from your blog feeling refreshed and SMILING! I'm right there with you about having WAY too much Christmas stuff. But I THINK about getting rid of it and then I look at it and CAN'T. It's all like old friends! How could I toss out or give away old friends? I don't care that some of my ornaments are overly-loved (my way of saying raggedy - LOL!) because they have sentiment! I love your house, I love your energy, I love your spirit, and I love YOU most of all!

You do wear me out, hah. You get so much accomplished. I have been on the lazy side this week-end. I have one tree up and some decorations pulled out sitting here and there. two years ago I weeding out alot of my decorations. I really am thinking of decorating with alot less this year. just my favorite things. I sued to decorate every surface.....not any more.
I am excited to see everyone's decorations.
Rest a little today.....

Oh Viv, that pile of Thanksgiving decor looks like my house right now. I didn't get as far as you though. I only took the fall decor down. I still have to pack it up (ugh...I hate that part) and then drag the Christmas out. I can't even get to all the Christmas stuff I have. Isn't that crazy?

As I wrap, wrap, wrap all my treasures, I'm tempted to think I have too much stuff. But no! *I* don't! It's my hubs who has too much stuff! :) I just love your Santa mugs. I never see them around here. ♥
