I'm now 51 years old and I things that go bump in the fridge!

(sweet sweet sweet giftie box from the sweet sweet sweet LUlu!! thank you sweet pea!)

Yup, 51! But thats ok with me. I remember when I was a little kid, I dont know why, but I used to tell my father and mother that I was going to die before i was 18! How weird. and probably a little bit disconcerting for them to hear. (hey, wait a min.. is disconcerting a word? did I use it correctly?? ) But I'm glad to have had lots of birthdays behind me and looking forward to lots more in my future! thank you Lulu!

(love the necklace that lulu made♥)

Anyways, I had a great birthday weekend, shopping with my daughters and the best behaved baby ever on sat. I bought lots of neat little things! and then yesterday my family all came over, except for sweet vanessa who had to work. I love my family! Guess what we had for my birthday dinner? pigs in the blankets, chili and cheesey garlic toast! not your average birthday dinner is it? but it was soo good! and not a left over in sight! And my Bethany made a yummylicious choc cake and brought my favorite, cookie dough ice cream. we had a nice time, only one little complaint. I wanted to play cards, and no one wanted to play with me! stinkers!

fridge ghost

(theres a ghostie in my fridge!)

I didnt take a single picture. not even of my Torry Pie! geesh! except , I did snap this one above of the ghost living in my fridge! Have you seen these at hallmark shops? I know.. I'm a freak.. I had to have one. when you open the door he sings and talks and says "b.b.b.b. burr.. its freezing in here..." He should say things like, "get your hands off that lard a@#! " or "a moment on the lips, forever on the hips!" but hes a nicer ghost then that.

I had fun with him though, i had to make everyone open the fridge... "tony will you get the cheese out?" "Torry can you get the cidar?" "robby will you get the ketchup?" and on and on.. until at some point everyone had met the silly thing. I was getting quite a kick out it and would laugh my butt off each time someone opened the door. They all would just shake their head and wonder about their crazy 51 year old mother! lol. Well I was having fun anyways!

so, now.. i'm 51. (eiy yie yie!) and heres to another 49 years!

have a great day everyone!

So happy to hear that you had a lovely Birthday Weekend with your family! I just saw a cute sign in a catalog - about marriage, but it's still cute for birthdays too:
"The first 50 years are the hardest!" haha - so now that you're 51 it's all smooth sailing for those next 49!

p.s. That ghost is sooooo cute - wonder if I can find one since our poor Hallmark store closed :(

52! I win!

Happy birthday!

You know, if you made a figure that was kept in the fridge and yelled abuse and warnings whenever someone opened the door, you'd be on your way to your first million... A skinny girl, maybe? Or a cute chubby lady standing on bathroom scales?

"Happy Birthday" Viv!

Sounds like a wonderful time :)

Your ideas about what the ghostie should say remind me of my fun time with the gps. Mike has his set to a british woman's voice, and after the 5th time of him taking his own route, I start saying things in a british accent like, "Well, if you're not going to listen to me, why the #_*! do you program me?" or... "I told you to turn left", etc... Gets pretty colorful after a while... LOL

@Linda

Oh! I laughed out loud at that. Nearly spayed my cup of tea all over the keyboard! Thank you for cheering me up!

Yes, Hubby has his set to an English woman's voice, too. Do we just sound better at giving directions, or is it a Mary Poppins thing?
