still making hearts!

big heart 1
I made a big one!   I love these things.. you will too if you end up making them.  ve been asked about the glue I use.  I use Fabri-tac which is made by Beacon and sold at Michaels, joanns, and Im pretty sure Ive picked it up at walmart before as well..  a little expensive, but very worth it.  Its about 8.00 for a small bottle.  but try it.. you'll love it!
2
For this heart I used paper doilies for in between the hearts.    Also, I realized that if you take a ruler and run a stylus down the center of the backside of your glitter paper heart, the paper will fold nicely. (it is thick and a little difficult to fold perfectly.)
3
I ran ribbon through the center and secured with a white button so it wouldnt pull back through and then tied two keys on the ends.
4
And then topped it off with a little white birdie I  had.
I made a big one!
Well whether you are making paper hearts and valentines, or working on something else, I hope you are doing something fun today!
Im staying home, cleaning.. creating ... and playing on the computer!   well, I have to make a run to the grocery store and walmart too.  We're having my almost daughter in law, vanessa's birthday here tomorrow and I need to make lasagna.
so have a Happy Day with what ever your doing!

Well, I have the stuff to make the glitter hearts. I found the glue at HobbyLobby but it is in a very odd place and not with the other glues and not in the fabric dept. either. They have a really large bottle for $11.00 so that is what I got-amazing glue- thanks.
Hope to make some of these hearts later today-you shoulda seen the mess yesterday!!! xo Diana

I love those hearts. I was at Joanns yesterday and bought some glitter paper. But I have to work today, so I might get some playing time tomorrow. Have a great day!

Viv, I love your hearts, and the large one with birdie and keys is just beautiful!!! I may attempt some of those myself. I am really getting into this "making Valentines" thing. Such fun!!! I really learning about working with papers and such from you and all of the other bloggy gals. This is a new craft for me, because I never worked with paper and images before. But I really like it and I'm enjoying myself making stuff!!! Yippee!!!!!! Thanks! XOXOXO

Love these hearts! I'll be making some in the next week. Your directions are so complete, I think I should have no trouble. I love the bird, of course, and the keys attached. Now I can use those keys that have been around here for so long no one can remember where they go. Thanks so much!

Those hearts are so cute. I need to make a Micheals run tomorrow and get some supplies. I am out of pop dots and I need another pair of the Cutter Bee scissors. I have so many pairs but they are all dull. I need to find a way to sharpen them. I so hate that Walmart got rid of their scrapbbok section, they have a small area of stuff now, but no longer carry the cutter bee scissors and they have the xacto products now, I have never used any of those products so don't know if they are good or not! Enjoy your Sunday and the menu for tomorrow sounds yummy

Hi Viv! I'm a rather new reader to your blog, but I am smitten! You inspire me so very much and a visit to your blog is very cheerful. These heart decorations are one of my favorite Valentine ideas this year! So lovely in their simplicity. Love them! Thank you for sharing yet another amazing idea!

Hope you have sunshine we have been socked into gray fog for weeks now--
