an advertisement!

I dont know about you, but I Love looking through the magazine Where women create. It does cause me to be a little jealous sometimes (as do a lot of magazines!) but it also inspires me and I love seeing artists creative spaces!

This issue though, is just packed full of awesome eye candy and sweet stuff! Jody battaglia from earth angels is one of the featured artists this issue.. I LOVE jodys creations!

They are the cutest little things ever. And I was lucky enough to meet her two years ago at the country living fair in Ohio and to buy a piece directly from her.

She is soo bubbly and her spirit spills over into her creations.

The magazine has a wonderful article about her.

then go from over the top cute to way cool..

Tim holtz is another featured artist in this issue. One of my favorite stores has been carrying his products for a long time, but now.. Joanns and micheals are also. He has some really cool stuff.

The boxes that we used for Amy Powers birthday treasury box swap were Tim Holtz boxes.

I always drool over all of his stuff.. the problem is, that Im not really that kind of an artist.. I would like to be, but I'm not really sure what to do with all that cool stuff!!

from over the top cute, to way cool, and then to sooo sweet.. Susan Branch is also featured! Ive always loved her line of cards and stickers and cookbooks and stuff.

I was just very excited when I picked up this issue today, broke as I am.. I had to have it! lol!

Besides the three I listed here, there are a dozen or so more of really creative people and their spaces.. so Off I go now.. its time to curl up with some popcorn and my new issue of where women create!

see yas later!

I have already bought it and devoured it! Love Susan branch, Tim Holtz and so many others. I am a magazine fanatic and spend way too much money on them. But they make me happy, so...:)

Ooooooo, I love it when others share their "reviews" on current magazines, so I know which ones are irresistible. I'll be running out tomorrow. : )
I got a big kick out of the poem you shared over at my place. Thank you! :-D

I think this is one of the best issues they've done. I love all of the artist's spaces. So much inspiration! The pics from your last post of Torry are too adorable. Grandchildren are the best!!

I love this magazine! My favorite these days, as I constantly try to empty the basement to get my studio in.

Torry is such a DUMPLING!!! Sooo cute!!! Lucky you. Wish I had beaches 1/2 hr. away. That is what I am used to, growing up on L.I.. My allergies disappear when I am by the beach.

What about Country Living Fair this year. Going? I am not sure, although I have 2 places to stay if I do. Have been told by customers to do the fair- that I'd do super well.

Have not been commenting, but always keep up w/you:) xo Lydia

What I like about these magazines is how well made they are. They're more like books aren't they? Sturdy and the pictures...oh....the pictures, Viv!!

I bought it too and I have been reading every word of every article. It is an especially fun issue! I've loved Susan Branch for years and I know about Tim from Lindsey at Two Creative Crafters but yes, his products are in Michaels...ha...I stocked them!
Your work is great Viv and you should be in one of these magazines for sure!
Follow your dream, if it is your dream.

Oh, Viv! I know JUST what you mean! I love looking at these magazines & being inspired. The only trouble IS, then I turn around and look at MY disaster area aka craft area & - POOF - the magic disappears! LOL! I LOVE Tim Holtz's stuff too & enjoy trying to fit his things into MY crazy excuse for 'art' It's like Art Doll Quarterly: I KNOW I can't make the dolls in the issues but I can be inspired by them! Sigh ... suddenly I feel as tho' I need to cuddle up with a good magazine ...

This was the best issue of Where Women create EVER! I'm still devouring my copy. I really like this magazine but it seemed that lately all the studios they showed were so dark and I could not see myself creating in those spaces. Love, love, love this issue, and Jody's work is just amazing.
