I dont know about you, but I Love looking through the magazine Where women create. It does cause me to be a little jealous sometimes (as do a lot of magazines!) but it also inspires me and I love seeing artists creative spaces!

This issue though, is just packed full of awesome eye candy and sweet stuff! Jody battaglia from earth angels is one of the featured artists this issue.. I LOVE jodys creations!

They are the cutest little things ever. And I was lucky enough to meet her two years ago at the country living fair in Ohio and to buy a piece directly from her.

She is soo bubbly and her spirit spills over into her creations.

The magazine has a wonderful article about her.

Tim holtz is another featured artist in this issue. One of my favorite stores has been carrying his products for a long time, but now.. Joanns and micheals are also. He has some really cool stuff.

The boxes that we used for Amy Powers birthday treasury box swap were Tim Holtz boxes.

I always drool over all of his stuff.. the problem is, that Im not really that kind of an artist.. I would like to be, but I'm not really sure what to do with all that cool stuff!!

from over the top cute, to way cool, and then to sooo sweet.. Susan Branch is also featured! Ive always loved her line of cards and stickers and cookbooks and stuff.

I was just very excited when I picked up this issue today, broke as I am.. I had to have it! lol!

Besides the three I listed here, there are a dozen or so more of really creative people and their spaces.. so Off I go now.. its time to curl up with some popcorn and my new issue of where women create!

a little torry time!

Torry pie says HI lovely bloggy ladies!

Yesterday , beth, big torry, Torry pie and I went down the road to the lake.. it wasnt foggy at my house, but it sure was foggy there!

It was so hot and muggy out, but the lake was freezing cold! I couldnt keep my feet in it for more then a few minutes. I dont usually mind the cool water.. but it was way too cold yesterday.

I had noticed on Friday when we went to the beach that the water had gotten cold. it was sort of weird, when I got in the first time it was awesome, not to cold and it felt great. I stayed in for about 20 minutes just floating and riding the big swells that were coming in. but when I went back in a couple hours later.. it was so cold that I could barely stand it and was only able to stay in for a few minutes!

Im pretty sure it was even colder yesterday!

heehee. I stuck little torrys feet in anyways, and he definitely didnt like it much! grammys such a meanie!

The beach we go to is about 1/2 an hour away, but its the same body of water as down the street, Lake Ontario. Some times we just head down the road instead of driving to the beach. either way I'm happy. Even yesterday in all that fog! We enjoyed ourselves for a little while.

Who wouldnt be able to enjoy themselves in the presence of such a sweet little guy! hes just sooo freaken cute!!! (so is his mama and papa!)

wish me luck tomorrow. I have to go back for my recheck on my mamogram. 6 months ago they thought they saw something and then they couldnt find it.

fingers crossed that they will not see it tomorrow either!

Ive been wanting to post these pictures for a few days now from a couple of swaps I did. The first one was the birthday treasury box swap hosted by Amy Powers. I had Marlene Haveron for my sweet partner. Here is some pics of the CUTE things she sent me.

next up... I dont know it you know Kai or not, but she is just about one of the nicest sweetest persons out here in blogland. She hosted a vacation in a match box swap, and I couldnt pass it up. Kai lives in the big ol state of Texas and she sent me a big ol bunch of texas fun!

and among all that fun was this cowgirl bear, riding on this little house! cute cute cute! shes holding a flag that says, "You must be funnin me pardner, this aint no texas horse! " too funny! and inside that little yellow rose of texas box, is the tiniest little kitty charm. i couldnt get a good picture of it, but trust me.. its really sweet!

And filled with all this sweet stuff! love those buttons and ribbons! There was also some texas postcards and some houston texans football fabric. Thank you again dear Kai! you know I adore you!
