yesterday was not the day I expected!!!

Bethany went in the hospital monday night. They used cervidel to soften her cervix overnight and then in the morning they started her on pitocin. She had lots and lots of contractions all night and all morning.. but didnt feel any of them! They kept increasing the pitocin.. and nothing nothing nothing!!! finally last night about 8:00 they took her off of it to give her uterus a break.

. They let her shower and eat and then started her back on the pitocin around 10:30. I left the hospital around 11:00 hoping to be awoken by a phone call that she was in active labor.. but no! I called the hospital at 6:30 this morn and shes about the same as she was last night! only they hae increased the pitocen to 26 at that time.. she was at 9 when they took her off last night..
sooooo... I'm off to the hospital shortly..
keep us in your prayers.. I hate to pray that my daughter would be in pain.. but there needs to be some pain involved with those contractions in order for them to be doing anything for her!!

Till then.. these are the only babies I get to enjoy!!

struggling to keep up here in blogland! struggling to keep up at home too... and lets not even mention how behind I am at work!!
Today was the final day of Jens musical, white christmas. It was fantastic. Jennifer played Betty Hanes and was awesome in it. My girl can really sing . I am a proud mama! The whole cast was awesome. The girl that played Judy (Bettys sister) Jen has been friends with since kindergarten and the two guys that had the other leads are Jennifers best friends. I did the make up for the show and watched all three performances. There was never a dull moment and I loved every minute of each show.

Still no baby. But, they are inducing her tomorrow night and she should have the baby on tuesday! Cant wait to finally see my little grandbaby!!

Tomorrow is my father in laws funeral and tuesday is Tonys uncles funeral! His uncle passed away friday night! Can you believe that? two deaths in two days! I wont be able to make uncle Louies funeral due to Beth having her baby. I think he'd understand though!

I have still a bunch of bear orders to finish and also my teacup swappies.. and a few other projects that need to be completed. I've had people over looking at kittens, two have new homes to go to the weekend before christmas and I have two more people coming to pick theres out this week. Also, I think roberts girlfriends sister is interested in one.

Tomorrow is Bethanys 25th birthday! Happy Birthday Gertie pie! A birthday she wont ever forget (being induced and also her grandfathers funeral!) I havent even had a chance to get her gift yet. Hopefully tomorrow!

Well, Im tired and uncomfortable, so I think I'm going to head to bed a little earlier then usual. Then I can get up early to work on bears til its time to go to the funeral. Sweet dreams all! sorry Ive not been good about leaving comments lately.. I will I will I will get caught up again soon!

When life gives you snow.. make snowmen!

life is so crazy sometimes isnt it? so much going on here. My father in law passed away yesterday morning. so sad. he had esophageal cancer and alzheimers as well. All I can say is at least he isnt suffering now. I feel bad for my mother in law. This was her second husband. We lost Tonys father to a massive heart attack when he was only 54 years old.

I took today off as a Bereavement day and I'll be taking monday off for the funeral . He's being cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the late spring or summer, so I'll save the other bereavement day for then. I think as sad as it is for my MIL, its probably also a huge weight off too. I plan on seeing her later today. please keep her in your prayers.

In other news.. STILL NO BABY!!! but Beth has an appt this morning. Please please pray that the doctor "gets it" and does something to get that baby born before there is no insurance on monday. Bethany said that they dont care. I guess its all in Gods hands and the baby will come when hes ready for the baby to come. I hate not having control of things! I cant even let someone else push my grocery cart!!!! LOL!

OH!! speaking of Bethany... Her boyfriend Torry (whom I ADORE) has a job interview this afternoon at 2:00. please please please pray that it goes well and he gets the job. He deserves a better job then he has. thank you!

Jennifers show opens tonight. Irving Burlins White Christmas. She has a lead role and is playing Betty Hanes. I'm excited to see the show all finished. I've had some glimpses of it and it looks like its going to be really good. I'll get pictures and hopefully some video of Jen singing to share here. I'll be at all the shows doing make up. Always fun! I hope the weather is decent. I hate driving in the snow.

speaking of snow...
We've been lucky, this all the snow weve gotten, while less then an hour away they got totally pounded and hundreds of people were stranded on the thruway for over 18 hours. I can not imagine! I'd surely have some sort of panic attack and freeze to death as well! the heat in my car sucks! This reminds me that I should put together a kit in my car in case that ever did happen.

Well, I'm going to go do something constructive.. like work on those bears!

oopsss.. almost forgot! Do you like my little snowfriends?

My babies are almost 6 weeks old! I put an ad in the paper which started yesterday and have had three calls already. the ad will run for two weeks.

The babies wont be ready to go until the week of christmas. Wont they make wonderful little christmas kittens?

I got a kitten for christmas when I was five! My brother and sister and I each got one, Sant brought us three little all black kittens. My sister who was the youngest got the sweet friendly one and named him bobo. My brother got the one that was a little more nervous and named him cha cha!

And I being the oldest, got the one that wouldnt come out from under the tree and hissed and tried to scratch us if we got near him!! I named him boots. I tried for three days to make friends with that kitten quite unsuccessfully! I was heart broken to say the least!

On the third day, I woke up early and ran to the tree to find my mean little black kitten just lying there.. not hissing or backing up when I reached under the tree to pet him! And then, he didnt even move when I did get brave enough to pet him! I was so excited!

I ran to my parents bedroom and woke my father up and I told him... "daddy!! boots let me pet him and he got kind of hard!" yup.. the cat was dead! Of course I didnt know that. Anyways, I was really heart broken when I realized I didnt have a kitten of my own anymore.

So, my parents took me to some ladies house and I heard them talking about only having the runt left. Whats a runt? What are we doing here? and next thing I knew the lady brought out the sweetest little gray tiger kitten. I named her Flannel and she was my baby from that moment on, for 19 years!

Flannel was 1/2 siamese. but she didnt look siamese at all. she slept with me every night and much to my parents dismay, layed on my lap under the table at dinner time! She had several litters of kittens. One morning, my mom woke me up for school and we found that Flannel had had her kittens in my hair during the night! I was so glad I got to stay home from school. my mom found a box for them and left them in my room, where I just laid on the floor for hours watching them!

I had Flannel for 19 years, When I had to have her put to sleep, Jennifer was almost the same age I was when I got her! Well, anyways, Ive had bunches of babies since.. and lots of litters of kittens, but I do have to say there is no prettier litter then a litter of siamese! (well I say that but the truth is, Ive never seen a kitten that I didnt think was the "freaken adorable" and fall in love with! LOL!

So I thought I'd just show you these pics I took tonight ..

I am seriously behind in every area of my life right now.. and feel like I may never get caught up. I have been peeking in on your blogs and not leaving any comments. Please dont think Ive forgotten or am ignoring anyone.. I just feel like I'm always in a hurry rushing from one thing to the next!

By the way.. no baby here yet. Please continue to pray that that baby comes before monday. And while your at it, please also pray for my friend Kathys daughter in law not to have her baby yet. She is having problems with her pregnancy and is not due for quite a while.

and if we're doing prayer requests, please keep my father in law and mother in law in your prayers too.. he has been moved into a pallitive care center and is not doing well.

OK.. on that note.. I'm out of here.. gonna do some blog hopping for a few minutes and then realllllllyyyyyy have to work on these bear orders!
