so happy tomorrows friday..  Im not kidding when I say work has been a little crazy.. and Im really not kidding when I say I work with some people that are probably truly infreakensane!   good grief.. there are some freaken nut cases in this county I live in!    Im always so happy to come home every day to my crumbling old house where I can create cute things and enjoy my happy little surroundings.. though I have to admit that my house is extremely messy right now.. I would be horrified if someone came here!

So I finished this bear tonight actually, she just needed her nose added.  which I thought might look better in pink then in black.  I hope the person getting her likes her.  she was a tiny bit of a challenge, but I was glad to make one a little different.   Ive done a few wedding dress bears in the past.. I'm always am a nervous wreck when i start cutting someones wedding gown apart!  This dress was worn by someone in the 70's and her daughter is about to get married, so she had the bear made to give to her daughter at her bridal shower.  I thought this was just a fabulous idea!

so weekend plans?  cleaning my house, doing my patriotic decorating and going out for dinner with my whole family to celebrate fathers day on Sunday.  Also hoping for some beach time...(if the weather cooperates) Oh, and saturday morning a trip to Joanns to get supplies for next weekend... a girls crafty weekend at my aunts cottage.  Cant wait.  I need to make some lists of what projects and supplies.. and what foods and goodies!

just need to get through one more day at work...  Geesh.. I hope we have better weather.. Im thinking we might need to be building an ark!  I hope things get on track soon... Im starting to worry about what this summer is going to be like.

only 4 days til the weekend!!

Good morning bloggy friends...

Rain Rain Rain... what is all this rain about?  10 days til summer.. I sure hope mother nature gets on track here soon.   I know, at least its not tornados, or hurricanes or devastating stuff like that, of which I am very very thankful for.... but I need sunshine and beach days very very soon...   I do!

Frannie thought I should snap our picture last night.. she did, she crawled right up on my shoulder and told me.  she said,  take our picture.. cause we're adorable!  thats what she said.... well, SHE is adorable..  ha, the picture of me, looks better sideways.. I almost posted it that way.  I wonder why that is?  lol..

 

anyways...

tonight I will finish up that wedding gown bear and snap some pics.. then tomorrow night after work... I think I might start my patriotic decorating.  The bin is out... sitting almost where I might trip over it in the kitchen.  Just waiting for me to get out all my little red white and blue friends that have been packed away for a year, waiting for their turn to come out again!

firecracker, firecracker, boom boom boom~

Finally got to play a little bit in my craftroom yesterday!  I have been dying to get in here to make something patriotic.  I knew I wanted to make little firecracker people and this is what I came up with.  Not so sure about those clownish faces.  but for the first round they are cute enough.  I'm going to make some more but do their faces differently.

the first too are small about 3 inches tall or so,  the second one is probably about 6 inches.  I was going to needle felt them, but decided on the paperclay over cardboard tubes.  cute enough, though not to die for cute...

but...

Look what Linda from Lutkaandco sent me for hosting the patriotic swap!  I just love it!  I was going to make something similar and now I dont have too.  This is just perfectly wonderful!

And so,,, here we are on another monday morning.. a most exciting time of year for all the kids who are finishing up the school year or already out...  wish I was them!  I want to stay home all summer!  Oh well... only 5 days to go til the weekend!

sunday morning.. chitter chatter..

 

Wow!  how did we get to sunday already?  I didnt do anything yesterday really, but the day just seemed to slip away.  I sort of cleaned up my craft room.. though just enough so that I could work at the table.  and I made this 10 minute pie..  I grocery shopped yesterday morning.. and thats about it

well, it was baby Jacobs birthday yesterday and I had Torry pie over night, so after we got groceries we went and bought a dozen balloons filled with helium.  Then Torry and I went to Jacobs grave and I had Torry let them go, one at a time, up up up into the cloudy sky.  He loved seeing them float off the heaven for Jacob, but was not happy at the end when they were all gone except the 2 that I gave him to take home. he said, no balloons for jacob!   too late buddy..  lol!

Was originally thinking about going to the beach today.. but now I dont think I feel like it.  I think I'm going to stay home and make some fireworks!  and probably cut out that wedding dress bear. 

soo... that pie??  Ive eaten more then half of it.  but guess what.. there only 4 ww points in the whole pie!  I could eat the whole thing and it would be ok! woohoo!

easy peasy..

STRAWBERRY PIE

2 cups of water.
1 pkg of sugar free/fat free COOK vanilla pudding
1 pkg of sugar free/fat free strawberry jello
4 cups of strawberries halved

Directions:
Bring water and pudding mix to a boil, take off stove, and add pkg of jello.
Stir well, and let cool
Clean and slice the fresh strawberries.
Line pie plate with strawberries as the "crust"
Pour pudding/jello combination on top
Let chill for an hour.

YUMMMMMY!

I did eat the first piece I had with lowfat graham crackers, which of course ups the points.  I also used lowfat whipped cream on it..   but then i just had it with the whipped cream.

breaking news......

Ive been waiting for today so I could announce something totally awesome.

Tony and Vanessa are expecting!  I've known for a couple months, but was just waiting for todays ultrasound and to know that everything looked good.  and everything looks just right.

I know Nessas been nervous under the circumstances.  And Im sure it was a bit of a relief to hear that things were good.   

they werent going to find out the sex of the baby.. but they are weak!  Its a GIRL!!  I'm getting another princess!     I am very excited!  Vanessa will be coming down the isle and saying I do at about 7 and a half months pregnant! LOL!  (I was 5 months pregnant when we got married.. .. I guess its just one of those things...  )

anyways, so that was my secret!  woohoo!!!!

I think they should name her vivi-pie!
